I wonder if I could take back every 'I love you'
ever said to you, would I do it?

Samari walked home and bursted into tears, this not going unnoticed by her mom, who walked into the living room and came to her aid.

Samari explained everything to her mom before breaking down again.

"I'm so stupid.. I really did mess up bad huh?" She cried.

Samari's mom gently stroked her hair, trying to comfort her as she sat there, crying on her shoulder.

"Don't you ever blame yourself for what that dickhead did to you. You'll find someone better who'll care about you and value you for who you are. Your trust wasn't misplaced, it was just given to the wrong girl. She didn't deserve you."

"It's my fault for giving myself up so easy on the first night of meeting her though.. I was just so hurt and vulnerable" Samari said quietly.

Her mom shook her head.

"No, honey. This wasn't on you. This was on her. You were in a vulnerable position, but it isn't your fault that she took advantage of you. She was just some douchebag who was out for herself. You were too pure and innocent to see that. You're too kind for the world."

"I should've known better.." Samari sighed.

Her mom sighed softly and gently kissed her forehead.

"Don't blame yourself, honey. The only person to blame here is her. You aren't to blame because you were too pure-hearted. You gave her benefit of the doubt. You trusted her, and that's not your fault. Don't blame yourself for her actions."

Samari broke down crying even more into her arms.

Her mother rubbed her back soothingly, trying to help her calm down.

"Shh... hush, honey. It's Alright. You're safe now. She can't hurt you anymore. Just let it all out. I'm here for you. I'm here to comfort you. you can cry into my arms as much as you want. I'm here to be your strength. I'm here to be your shelter when the world feels too cruel."

The more Samari cried, the more she felt her heart shatter.

Samari's mom felt for her, seeing how badly her daughter's heart was breaking. She hated seeing her daughter like this. She hated knowing that she was so hurt.

She hugged her tightly as she cried into her, and she kept rubbing her back.

"Shh... It's alright, honey. It's alright. It's okay to feel hurt. Just let it out... let out all that pain and heartbreak. I'm here for you. I'm here to catch your tears and hold them so that they don't fall to the floor."

Meanwhile Zaira wasn't taking the rejection from Samari too well.

Her hands curled into fists as she cursed and slammed her hands against the wall. The hurt she felt wasn't enough.
