hello there! i'm the author of the dark, and you can call me solius. this was originally going to be broken into five books for each season of stranger things, but i decided one book would be easier on both me and your guys libraries if you like my book!

season one i would say is pretty uneventful. really, there is just buildup. but don't skip the season, there's important mentions and introductions. you'd get lost with the relationships within the characters.

i also want to say when writing this book i didn't have an exact personality i wanted for y/n. i just wanted someone who was strong, can stand up for others and herself, and could help others. of course, she has some flaws. snapping on others, sarcastic and maybe rude comments. not everyone is perfect.

my writing is not exactly the best, and i know, maybe we have different opinions. maybe people will love my writing, maybe others will hate it. people like different writing styles! i usually preferred more detailed, slow yet quick paced writing. i like knowing where the scene is set, but i'm not exactly super good at doing that yet. chapters here are at least 1000+ words. maybe even to 2000, and if i'm feeling passionate, more than 3000.

so, i want to just explain everything in my book in this note. first thing being the relationships between you and the characters of the show! i'm only going to do season one characters, because i don't want you guys to be spoiled for future plans. hehe.

mike wheeler and y/n. this should be really clear to tell, but he's the love interest of the story. starting off, they're not the closest. but definitely closer than lucas and dustin are to her. y/n is someone mike can confide in and get honest opinions from. they grow closer in season one, please trust.

will byers and y/n. if i hint at anything, please know it's not intentional. their relationship is strictly platonic. will see's y/n as a sister, and y/n see's will as a brother. it is mentioned in the book, too, to be made clear. these two are the closest out of the entire group ... why? because will byers is my bae. i love him, he's my son.

lucas sinclair and y/n. lucas and y/n have a pretty sarcastic and outgoing relationship. they crack jokes, and they know they can be mean to each other for fun. they don't take it serious. yes, there are times where they get into arguments. but, who doesn't get into arguments with their best friends?

dustin henderson and y/n. these two don't particularly talk much, but they do love each other just as much as they love the rest of the group. dustin is a true sweetheart, i love dustin. therefore, y/n is nice to him.

now, for visuals of y/n. i actually never had a look for y/n in mind, for the gifs for the casts, i literally just pick ones i think are cute and suit her vibes well. if anyone wants to tell me how i can make it so that poc can feel more included in the book, please say! i want them to be comfortable reading and not feel like a specific race has to be set for this book.

i think that's all. i won't say anything about me, because i know you all just want mike wheeler. but, please enjoy reading. thank you so much for doing so and supporting my writing. it truly makes me happy.
