(Robyn's POV)
It was now roughly a week later. I had slept in Caleb's bed every night like a scared child, but he and Monika didn't mind. I had a suspicion that the nightmares would not stop until Thomas Lence was defeated. Therapy probably wouldn't help; I did not want to waste money on things that might not work. If I still had bad dreams after Lence was gone, then I would go to therapy.
Tiki had another session with Katie, her physiotherapist. This time, Marth went with her instead of Caleb. Apparently, Tiki's legs were working well enough for her to ditch the wheelchair, which we returned to the hospital. She did still have to use a walking stick, however.
Jacob Newman did such a good job as acting mayor that he was elected permanently.
Uncle Carlos stayed for a few nights and left along with MC, who did take Sayori with him after she asked to be his girlfriend. She claimed that the rest of the tour would be one big honeymoon despite not being married, so MC relented. Jacob gave her permission to leave, as did her work boss.
I was huddled with Yuri and Marth on the couch. Tiki was there too, but the Hero-King was trying to ignore her flirting.
"Don't worry, Robyn. Caleb will be back from work soon," Marth reassured me. With Caleb at work, I felt panicky. I was scared stiff that he wouldn't come back alive.
"I'm sure he is having great fun fixing computers and can't wait to see you," Yuri added. I whined and pulled my knees to my chest.
"Robyn, he will be fine." Tiki took a break from her flirting. "But you cannot keep following him around like he will disappear if you aren't in the same room. Do you not have college classes to attend?"
I shook my head. "Professor Hall gave me the week off for a mental health break." Tiki sighed exasperatedly and leaned her head on Marth's shoulder, which he did not contest.
The front door opened and in walked Natsuki, Monika and Caleb. I brightened immediately once I saw my brother. I got up and hugged him.
"No sign of Thomas?" Marth asked.
"Nope," Natsuki replied.
"I think he has gone into hiding to lay low from the police," Monika theorised.
"So do I," Caleb added. I released my brother from our embrace and went to follow him to our room, but Yuri held me back.
"Robyn, don't." I watched in slight fear as Caleb left my line of sight. "You need to stop trailing him like a puppy. People will think you have incestual feelings for him," Yuri said.
"I don't. I'm just afraid he will die," I replied.
"Those are just simple nightmares, nothing more," Yuri said.
I kept staring at his door until he came out. "Hi, Caleb." The first time I greeted him as soon as he exited his room he screamed. This time he looked bored.
"Hi, Robyn."
"What do you want to do?" I asked him.
He shrugged. "Chill on the couch and read my book."
"Okay." I sat next to him and watched him while he read.
"Robyn, could you sit elsewhere? You are a little close," Caleb pointed out.
"Oops, sorry." I relocated to an armchair. Caleb shook his head and continued reading.
It only took a few minutes for him to be annoyed by my constant staring. "You know what, I'm going to search for Thomas." He marked his page and stood up.
