I meet Mr.Magic the third

Raven POV

After watching the Hermes Cabin for a bit longer I walked toward the practice area. There were demigods every where practicing archery, throwing knives, and swords. I stated taking it all in.

"Hi I'm Ethan Goldman." A boy says sneaking up on me.

"Raven, Raven Zoe." I said trying to hide the fact that he surprised me. "Who's your parent?"

"Hecate." Ethan said. "You can call me Mr. Magic the third. What about you? Who's your parent?"

"Hades." I said.

A look of shock and fear passed over Ethan's face but then disappeared.

"Ugh. Why is that everyone's reaction." I said annoyed.

"Wait you don't know? There aren't supposed to be children of the Big three. Plus the children of Hades have a history of being kind of...different" Ethan said.

I think he was going to say evil but then thought better of it.

"So since Percy's out on a quest Chiron wanted me to help find your weapon." Ethan said breaking the silence.

First thing we tried was archery. I wasn't very good at it then I thought of something.

"Do you have a left handed bow?" I asked. Ethan looked surprised for a second but then caught on.

"Here you go." He said handing me a left handed bow.

I notched an arrow lined up and shot. It was almost a bullseye.

"Wow. You could be a hunter of Artemis with that shot." Ethan said.

"Thanks but I think I want t try something else." I said.

I tried some shruiken (ninja throwing stars) and some throwing knives. I was pretty good at those, I'll remember to keep some on me. The next thing I tried was swords. I decided to try a short, about two feet long. I held it in my left hand and it felt comfortable there.

"Oh so you are left handed" Ethan said grabbing his sword he had at his side. "That might give you an upper hand if you fight another person because people usually seen prepared for a lefty. Ok so the first thing you..."

Then bell just rang for lunch.

"Ok well I guess we'll pick-up after lunch." Ethan said putting his sword back into its sheath.

We walked up to the Pavilion and went to our tables. For lunch I had a hamburger, French Fries, and diet Dr.Pepper. I sacrificed some of my food and sat back down.

"Today we will be playing a round of capture the flag so when you're done please return to your cabin and get ready." Said Chiron.

Ethan told me about capture the flag and I,knew I needed some materials so I asked Chiron.

"There should be some armed and a few swords in the attic." Chiron said.

I walked up into the attic and looked around. I found some army that was light but durable and very movable so I grabbed the chainmail gloves and the chest plate. I also grabbed some shruiken and throwing knives and a sword. The sword felt awkward but it was the only decent one.

I walked back toward the Hades Cabin to get ready and when I entered I saw a sword laying on my bed. It was two feet long and made of a black Iron. Just then a symbol appeared over my head. The symbol of Ares. I guess I've been blessed by Ares. That explained why I was good with weapons.

I took a moment to say thank you grabbed the Stygion Iron sword and walked out.

It is I, the nerdy, psychopathic demigod Hanji13. So how's the book so far? I don't really gave much to say. Which cabins do you think should be on Raven's team for capture the flag? Also I probably won't be writing for a few days because I'm on vacation. Happy 4th of July
