Cupid's mismatch? I don't think so....

Chapter 8.

"You're going where tomorrow?"

"I'm going to Hawaii tomo---..."

"Damnit! I heard you the first time, why are you going? And why are you just telling me now?"

Her tantrums are far worse than I thought guys. But I can't blame her, it's not everyday your best friend just drops the bomb of moving away so suddenly.

"It was a last minute sort of thing, It's just a game I saw online, I got picked and I was sent an email"

"What game?" She looked totally confused, infact she's the perfect living example of the word confusion.

"Somecupidgwame" I mumbled

"It would do us a lot of good if you can speak a little louder Ri" she said sternly, I honestly didn't think she'll be this pissed off.

"It's some cupid game" I said a bit louder.

"Cupid?, What does that even mean? Like you're getting shipped off to some whacked up love island to find the love of your life or something?"

"Well if you put it that way....." I trailed off when she glared.

"What's the game prize?"

"A few million dollars" Her eyes went wider by a fraction.

"WHAT THE FU--" I placed my palm over her mouth to shut her up.

"Do you mind? We're in a park filled with kids and those moms are throwing us dirty looks" I said staring at a blonde mom glaring at us while taking her kids out of earshot of our conversation.

Talk about being a bad influence.

"I don't give a rat's ass ok? I'm pissed off, why do you get to go so far away anyways? Aren't there any games or job you can find here?" She asked and I could feel her dilemma, I'm going away, and we wouldn't be seeing each other frequently like we are now.

"I tried searching for something closeby, besides it's just a month J, I'm sure the love of your life can keep you company."

She gave me a look saying 'dont push it' and I smirked.

"Well we've got like four hours before I think of packing. Think we can make good use of that?" I asked slightly nudging her with my elbow and she scoffed.

"I'll get you something on my way back"

"Is that some sort of bribe?"

"Maybe" I replied and she gave a small smile.

"I still don't know why you won't get a better phone so you can Skype.. Ri, I will only get to hear your voice if you leave with that. And what if it's a trap? I can't track you because I doubt that thing even has GPS on it"

"Firstly I spent money meant for other stuff on food, secondly my voice is good enough J, and GPS isn't something I want around me, I'd like my location to remain unknown "

Jane gave me a stare which read ' You're crazy'

"Then how do I know where you are if something goes wrong?"

"Nothing will go wrong"

"And how do you know that?"

"Cos I'll make sure of it, now can we go spend the 3hours and 49 minutes we've got left?"

"When you win, you're buying Dante's Cafe" I looked at her surprised.

"And why am I doing that?"

"Two things Ri, he's about putting it out for sale, heard from hot morning gossip and I want to know how it feels like to be the manager of a cafe" She said with a bright smile and I chuckled.
