My mom came back with the Unknown guests. "Hello" the person spoke. I was so shock i couldn't even move.

It was one of the dudes that raped me. I wanted to scream, cry, and run.

I didn't know what to do, i just wanted to die right there. I was stiff.

"Hello" the rest of the spoke back. "Whats wrong Janliah" my mother asked me.

He shot me a death glare . Telling me he wanted me to act like nothing ever happened."Uhmm...Oh...Oh...Nothing" i lied. Trying not to cry.

Images of the other night was still in my mind. A tear slipped and i wiped it as soon as it fell.

I saw him looking at me not showing any sympathy what so ever.

I swallowed my tears, and tried to put on the best act as possible.

"So who are you" Mih asked.

"I'm D'Rae Simmons" he responded to Mih. "And why are you here" Mih askes being blunt about it.

"Jerimih ! Where are your manners" my mother asked him.

"Im just trynna know whats up, can we get this over with" he asked.

She started serving the food. We then said grace. "Alright, dive in".

All i heard was forks and knives clacking against the plates. "So me and your dad have an announcement to make" my mama announced kind if nervous.

Everyone was looking at her. I just hope it doesn't have anything to do with my rapist.

"Janliah you are adopted and D'Rae is your brother" she told me.

I had to think again to make sure i heard her right.

"Huh" i asked still not catching wjat she just said.

"Well you see at first me and your father couldn't have kids. So we adopted you." she said.

"Okay, thats cool" i said. Trying to hide the hurt that was on my face, with a fake smile.

"Your mother actually lives right around the corner. D'Rae is your brother. He made sure yiu were safe the other night coming back home. He said you passed out at a restaurant" she said smiling like he actually did somwthing good.

I looked up and he was still staring at me. So i quickly looked away. "I just thought it was time you moved with your real parents, they want you to come home now"

I shook my head No. I looked up at D'Rae and he made his jaw poke out.

"Why not baby, you should get some bonding time with your real parents" she said.

"So you mean to tell me she not our real sister" Merah asked in disbelief.

"No she isn't" my 'dad' told her. She mumbled something under her breath.

"So how you feel about all this" my 'mom' asked me.

"I mean im hurt yall kept this from me for so long. And it also hurt that my real parents don't want me. It hurts that i have to live with m-" i started to say but i caught myself.

I wanted to cry so bad but i knew my 'brother' would hurt me later on.

"Just give your new family a chance" my parents told me smiling like something was actually happy like about this moment.
