But, Olivia Specter has always been filled with ambitions.
With a passionate jazz musician for a father and a cheater for a mother, her brother, Harvey Specter, was pretty much obligated to raise her. And to be fair, Harvey wasn't the sharpest shed. The youngest child in the — MESSY — Specter family, also the only girl, surviving with two brothers (the other named Marcus). Thriving on academic validation and success, she rarely fell on her face.
When her brother finally landed a job in a firm called 'Gordon Schmidt Van Dyke', she often tagged along and got to see the perks and downsides of working as a lawyer. Eventually, he started to work in the DA's office, and she still stuck with him. She still remained connected to one of the partners there, Jessica Pearson. Jessica helped send Olivia to Harvard Law. Her brother returned to 'Gordon Schmidt Van Dyke' and the name was newly changed to 'Pearson Hardman'. Jessica saw her full potential and hired her as a paralegal while she was studying.
And as she grew, she graduated top of her class at Harvard Law, and became the best associate at the firm today.
But that's about to change. Competition's on its way, Olivia.
