CH10: Last night

Hi guys, I'm back. Sorry for not posting lately, but my phone was out of battery, and my only charger was broken, so I had to take both of them to a repair shop.

Ezra's POV:

(9:38 pm)

Last night was amazing, Maudie and I stargazed till it was our bedtime, and I still walked her home because it was dark it was 11 pm.

We read a book together, and it was nice. Here is a little flashback...

"Maudie, I'm a bit skeptical about this..." I trembled my legs, shaking.

"C'mon, Ezra," Maudie whined.

I hesitated before sighing and finally grabbing her arm as she pulled me gently onto the roof.

I was scared, but I trusted her.

After I was on the roof I stopped wincing and opened my eyes slowly.

"Oh," I stood up straighter. "That wasn't so bad."

I chuckled awkwardly at myself, scratching the back of my neck.

"See, it's easy." she teased.

I smiled.

"I guess not this time." I teased back.

We then sat on the rooftop, and the sky was beautiful in the night and the stars in the skies.

"Wow," Maudie muttered under her breath.

She played her head on my shoulder, which I didn't seem to notice till she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.

I jumped slightly but then returned the gesture.

Gently wrapped my arms around her shoulders.

She giggled.

"You tickled me," she declared between soft giggles.

"Oh, sorry." I apologized, chuckling breathlessly.

I smiled as I remembered that night and then remembered what she told me when we reached her house.

"Maudie, are you... like in love with anyone..?"

"Maybeeee..."

I remembered the way she smirked when she said it.

The way she giggled after saying it.

The teasing look she gave me.

I was curious but didn't ask any questions. I wasn't trying to butt into her business or anything.

Yet still, that was carved into my mind.
