      Bridgette's POV:

I am glad that Marinette is here. She is much nicer than I expected her to be. I can see why Adrien has taken notice of her. I can tell Marinette loves him too.

Goodness, she traveled from the past to here in the future for him. That must have taken some guts, well, guts, and a time-traveling device. I wonder why Felix denies time travel. I mean he did travel through time and rescue me from the Romans who had me as a slave. They wanted to do things to me that were so awful. I blushed thinking about how I was about to be sold to another merchant and Felix arrived. I was taken away quickly and soon the portal closed behind us. Fortunately, I heard some girl and her boyfriend escaped together. Well good for them.

Why is it everyone seems to have romance in their life? I mean I am not horrible and not bad to look at either. Yet, Felix ignores me. The rare times he says a word to me, it is always, "Go away, get out, or what do you think you are doing here, Bridgette?" It is like he despises me.

Why could not my rescuer have been someone who loved me? Was it bad for me to want someone to love me as Adrien does Marinette?

I sighed. I suppose I would have to make the most of it. It was not like I had a way back to where I had come nor that I wished to be there. I hated being a slave. I could use some more modern clothes. How did I go about finding them?

As if he heard my thoughts, Felix entered the room. "Bridgette, here take this and buy some more presentable attire.  We do have a guest," He spat out. I took the money but reached up and slapped him across the cheek. "That is for being such a #$T%&*!" I blurted out.  I ran out of there before he could do anything to me.

I arrived at the store soon enough. A store was a funny word because Ancient Rome had markets. I recalled that I had lived someone in modern times for a while, but was taken captive and transported to Rome. I had been away for so long that I had forgotten most of modern- society's expectations and rules.   I am grateful for Felix, even if he is a jerk.

I bought new dresses, shoes, shirts, jeans, skirts, hats, and scarves.  I tried one outfit and it fit me. I paid for this one too. It was a denim jumper with daisies and I picked out a blue shirt which I chose to wear underneath it. The shoes I wore with it were sandals. I  pulled my hair back in a different style thanks to the hairbrush and hair ties I purchased.

I returned happy with my new style. Felix was not around much to my disappointment. I wanted to show him my new outfit. What would he think about it?

A few hours later, I was awakened from a nap.

     "Hi, Bridgette," Felix said.

   "Hi, Felix," I said.

"Did you need something?" I asked.

"I am sorry how badly I treated you, "Felix apologized and pulled me in for a hug. I was surprised but hugged him too.

"It is alright, I should not have been so pushy, " is stated.

Felix did not ask what I meant. He fixed me something to eat. I ate and he stared at me. I did not know if this was better than him ignoring me, but it did seem a bit creepy.

I  finished the food and thanked him. He winked at me, "No need to thank me, beautiful." He said. He kissed my cheek and I blushed. Felix laughed.

I left the room confused. How could this be the same Felix from earlier? That one was a cruel heartless Felix, but this Felix seemed more relaxed, and was a bit flirty. Was he always this way?

I  told  Marinette and Adrien. Marinette seemed as surprised as I did, but Adrien smiled.

"I knew you brought out the best in him, and it was about time he saw it too," Adrien said.

"But earlier he kept telling me to get lost, and now he acts like he likes me," I protested.

Adrien laughed. "That is Felix for you. He tends to be caught up in various moods. I am sure why, but that is Felix for you," Adrien explained.

I smiled and nodded my head. Adrien and Marinette returned to whatever they were doing before I started talking to them.

I pretended not to notice the sudden change in Felix's behavior.  I sighed. I agreed to fix more bread for tomorrow. Why not?  I thought it was the polite thing to do and besides I reasoned to myself, it is the only way we will ever have any good bread to eat around her anyway.

    Time skip!

Two weeks later, Felix and I had a grand time together. Adrien and Marinette were on a date for most of the day so we had the place to ourselves. Felix let me help him paint the kitchen. When we finished, he kissed my cheek and claimed it tasted sweet. I blushed and slapped him with one of the wet paintbrushes.   "Me, sweet, not me, I am just a pest," I spat out. " I suppose  I deserved that with how horrid I used to be to you. Felix said. He held out his hand. I took it.

Soon we were dancing and were so caught up in it we did not notice when Adrien and Marinette returned from their date. We danced and danced. We sat when Felix took notice that I might need some water. He handed the glass to me. I drank some, then set the glass on the counter.

Hmm, I suppose the makeover did wonders for me. I thought.
