The morning of the coronation was filled with hustle and bustle, the dorms were buzzing with girls going from room to room, borrowing items, and helping each other get ready.

Persephone felt utterly alone, as Evie prepped Mal (who kept shooting her twin glowering looks).

Evie had been kind enough to make a dress for Persephone, and when she slipped it on, she felt the prettiest she ever had. It was a small consolation, and it brought the tiniest bit of happiness to her gloom.

The dress was black- duh, and floor length, with a strapless neckline, and a fluffy skirt.

She added a pair of black sheer gloves, and wore her father's necklace. Her hair was down in soft waves, and she'd painted her lips a striking shade of red.

She looked killer.

After she was ready, she sat at her desk, flipping through a book.

Then she heard her sisters voice behind her.

"Lock her up, nice and tight, in her necklace, out of sight."

Everything was black for a moment, and when her vision returned to her, she was in a small room, with crystal blue walls.

Shit.

Persephone had given up on screaming after about an hour. If her sister could hear her, she wasn't responding.

One wall of the room she was trapped in had a circular window, like a spot where the crystal was thin, and she could see outside through it.

It was blurry, but evidently Mal had chosen to wear their father's necklace, to keep her close.

She could hardly take watching Ben through the window, so trusting, so good.

"Listen Mal, I'm sorry this hasn't worked out how you'd hoped, but for what it's worth I am glad to have you as my date. I do like you a lot, just as a friend, you know?"

Persephone scrubbed her hand down her face, her throat raw from screaming.

"Hey, isn't that Persephones necklace?"

"Oh! Yeah she loaned it to me, said it made my eyes pop."

She let out an annoyed shriek, pounding her hands fruitlessly against the crystal.

How could her sister do this to her? And what would become of her when Maleficent came?

Resting her face against the crystal as the carriage slowed to a stop, she watched as Ben and Mal made their big entrance, approaching the stage, where fairy godmothers wand sat, under a glass case.

Mal stood to the side, curtsying as Ben strode confidently towards FG.

Persephone watched with anticipation, willing Mal not to ruin everything.

Fairy Godmother removed the crown from Beasts brow, and placed it on Ben's head as he knelt before her.

Then she retrieved the wand.

Mal hadn't moved yet.

"Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?"

Persephone couldn't help a swell of pride as Ben clearly stated-

"I do solemnly swear."

Fairy Godmother tapped her wand across his shoulders.

"Then it is my honor and my joy to bless our new king."

Then all hell broke loose.

The wand was snatched from FGs hand, but Mal hadn't moved.
