CUT TO:

EXT. A RURAL ROAD - EVENING

The brothers are tired from their journey, but are unsure of where to go. Kunti's breathing is heavy, but she steadies herself and looks at her eldest son.

KUNTI

Putra, where will we stay?

Yudhishthira briefly casts his gaze around, and frowns.

YUDHISHTHIRA

We did pass by some guesthouses while coming here, Mata. But I don't think it would be wise for us to lodge there, amidst so many people from all over the country.

Bhima nods, and so do the others in turn.

A MAN carrying a few pots passes by them. He appears to have overheard them, so he pauses and looks at the six of them. He addresses Kunti.

POTTER

Do you need a place to stay, Aryae?

KUNTI

(nods)

Yes, Mahodaya. Me and my sons are new to Kampilya and have come to witness the Rajakumari's svayamvara.

The potter considers this. Eventually, he speaks.

POTTER

You may stay with me, if it suits you. The guesthouses are simply too crowded. Besides, I will be leaving soon enough.

The brothers share looks. Kunti is profoundly grateful.

KUNTI

Your kindness is unparalleled in this world.

POTTER

Think nothing of it, Devi.

They follow the potter to his house.

INT. A SMALL HOUSE - EVENING - CONTINUOUS

The potter shows them inside and guides them to one room.

POTTER

If this suits you, Aryae, let this be your residence until you are willing.

KUNTI

We are extremely grateful. But if I may ask without seeming rude, do you have no family residing with you?

POTTER

(laughs)
