Chapter 1: creation

The floor boards creaked as a light switched on. A crash could be heard as foot step slowly walked their way towards a room before another flick of a switch could be heard. "Time for school kid get out of a bed" could be heard from the doorway as a deep and angry voice spoke. "Come on get up!" The voice shouted as it tugged against my arm. "Now pause for a moment! This isn't what happened at all!?" Spoke Ayane as she slammed her hand on the desk. "Hikari your parents are lovely people why are you so emo all time?" Ayane said annoyed as she crossed her arms and sat back in her desk. "Because I want a cool back story for when I become rich one day, duh?" Hikari scoffed as she closed her notebook. "Telling them that I get bullied isn't cool" Hikari mumbled while turning her notebook back into her backpack and zipping it closed. "What was that?" Ayane perked up looking at Hikari. "Nothing, nothing.." Hikari said turning her head the other way a frown on her face. "Just tell me" Ayane whined as she stood from her desk and stamped her hands on hikari's desk, leaning over to get a better look at her. "I told you it's nothing!" Hikari shot back turning her head away more. Ayane sighed and sat back down in her chair furrowing her brows in confusion. "Your always like this Hikari.. you never tell me anything." Ayane whispered under her breathe. "Class in session" a teacher spoke as she entered the room and took out her laptop. "Notebooks everyone we are going to be copying down information, and yes I do notebook checks!" The teacher said in a stern attitude as she plugged in her laptop struggling to get the plug in for a few moments as kid snickered in the back. "Hey Hikari" a kid whispered. Hikari looked over at the student with her same serious look sighing slightly. "We're friends right?" The kid said in a condescending tone as they displayed an innocent look. Hikari simply shook their head and looked the other way tired of their words. "Aw come on we're friends right? Don't be mean now. Do you hate me Hikari?" The kid continued. Hikari continued to ignore the kid getting more and more fed up with their words. "This is why I hate her" the kid laughed as they turned to their other friends who were snickering behind them. "Yeah she's weird" the friends continued cracking jokes on Hikari. The teacher had acknowledged this group before but only continued the lesson giving them a simple "leave Hikari alone" of course the kids would get quiet for the rest of class but during passing period.. "hey hikari! Hikari!" A girl ran over to hikari. "I think the popular boy likes you" the girl said pointing to the popular guy who was busy being surrounded by girls. Hikari's face morphed into a face of disgust for a moment before her eyebrows furrowed and she sighed walking the other way. As hikari walked away the girls laughed and chattered. Ayane had a class the other way so she didn't walk with Hikari often giving bullies the chance to strike often. As Hikari was pushed and shoved in the busy hallways by students cramming to get outside for break she was met by the same group. A girl and another girl. "Hey Hikari, remember last week?" The girl said walking up to Hikari. "It's on sight.." the girl shoved hikari hard as the other girl joined in and began stomping on her. She grabbed Hikari's hair and smashed her head into the wall repeatedly as kids surrounded them with phones and camera's cheering the fight on. With one great smash, Hikari's head was shoved into a hard pole and everything went black.
All Hikari could hear from then on was screams, and teachers running. "Hikari! She's she's! De-" before Hikari could hear the last part light enveloped her eyes and she suddenly found herself in a divine abode covered with light as a woman stood before her. "Hikari.." it called out. "Hikari.." the woman extended her hands causing her white sleeves to fall downward. The woman wore a silk-like dress that was slightly transparent with a veil. "Hikari.. this is your calling..."'the woman spoke as her hands began to glow. Hikari was silent as she watched all this unfold before her. Suddenly hikari closed her eyes and when she opened them she was now.. in the hand of this woman!? As hikari tried to look around the woman stared down at her. Now hikari could see the woman with white eyes and eyelashes with strange marks on her face and white hair. "Hey what's going on? Who are you lady?" Hikari said with a shaken voice as she stared up at the woman. "Oh hikari.. you are merely in your spirit form as of now..." the lady with a flick of her finger made a screen appear before hikari in her hand. The screen had unreadable text but the lady seemed to understand it just fine. She tapped a few buttons but all hikari could see was an image of a person extending their arms and light coming down upon a group of people. "I died didn't I.." hikari mumbled as tears tried to well in her nonexistent eyes. "Oh I understand your sadness dear hikari.. but it's okay" the lady said lifting her hands to her face. "I will make everything better. If you complete this trial I will bring you back and give you a better life. I just need to know if you're up to the task." The woman said knowingly as her hands suddenly began to close over Hikari her last words being "show me how a true god would love their people and you shall be rewarded.." she said before hikari was consumed by darkness once more. When Hikari opened her eyes she was suddenly met by a smaller person. Hikari couldn't tell if they were a man or a woman they had such short hair but such feminine features they looked much like the woman from before but had an androgynous appearance so Hikari didn't know. Adorned in white with brown hair and white eyes they looked up at hikari. "My name is Sephy, I shall be what you humans call... an angel?" The small angel spoke as they did a respectful gesture and did the same finger flick the woman did to appear on a small pedestal infront of Hikari. "Anyways, I think Josephine told you, but- if she didn't I can tell you now" Sephy said as they scrolled through a similar screen to the woman who was apparently named Josephine. "Why are you so small?" Hikari said extending a finger in an attempt to poke Sephy. "Why are you so big?" Sephy retorted snapping back at Hikari with a sharp gaze causing Hikari to jump back a little. "Sorry sorry, angels are supposed to be respectful to their gods. Which leads to me to what I have to explain. You're a god!" Sephy said cheerfully doing a sarcastic clap of her hands and tilting her head slightly causing her small halo to also tilt slightly. "A what now?" Hikari said in a tone that suggested she was not following Sephy's words. "You know you're like those gods from the tales? Have you not heard of religion before?" Sephy said crossing her arms as she looked at hikari a little dumbfounded. "Like god, god?" Hikari said starting to understand her situation. "Yeah. God,god" sephy repeated after hikari. "Cool." Hikari said smirking a little. "So do I get cool powers and stuff?" Hikari said as she began to try and shoot beams out of her hands to no avail. Sephy began to hover and flew over to Hikari taking her finger in her small hands to stop hikari. "No, well you do but not that kind of power you're not sword master god Senkaijen ya know?" Sephy chuckled as she shook her hand and pulled Hikari along with her across the empty and cloudy plane. Each step they took illuminated the ground beneath their feet. The floor was translucent and shined of blues and purples. "Why are we just walking around this empty place-" before Hikari could finish her sentence her face suddenly hit a wall. "Well that's not very godlike of you" Sephy said sarcastically snickering a little as she looked at hikari. "Where did this wall come from. Well where is the wall..?" Hikari said as she placed her fingers against the invisible object. "It's a door dummy" Sephy said sliding her finger against the object where a door to an empty world appeared. There was nothing. It was an empty space. "Okay so here is what Josephine gave us to work with..." Sephy said as she stared at the land with a prideful look. "Nothing!" She said in an even happier tone that had sarcastic undertones. Under her breath she mumbled something about Josephine while still smiling and looking at the land before turning to Hikari and extending a hand. "Let's create your new world!".
