Become God Of This World?!

Chapter 2: growth

Lifting my hands I chanted the sacred words over and over again. "Freu de ga ish quo tat es cierca". Hikari sighed and put their hands down as they managed to create a small rock that wasn't nearly enough to even build a planet in this large space. "Come on hikari your rock just needs to be a little bit bigger and we can call it a starter" sephy said flying over to the rock that was still way bigger than her but even hikari new it wasn't large enough to host a civilization. "Okay.." hikari sighed as she lifted her hands and began to chant the words again. "We'll never get anywhere like this..." sephy sighed as she sat on hikari's shoulder.  "Hey I have an idea" sephy said. Hikari didn't hear her as she continued chanting. "That means stop talking silly" sephy said floating infront of hikari and tapping her nose with her small hand. Hikari paused and narrowed her eyes on sephy's small self body. "Gods powers are fueled by the hope of their people right? But you have not any people at all! So no wonder your making such tiny rocks" sephy chuckled to herself. Hikari's eyes widened and she quickly turned to a pout. "Well why didn't you say that sooner" hikari sighed crossing her arms. "I forgot" sephy simply said floating along on her back in an orbit around hikari's head. Hikari shoo'd sephy and did the little flick thing she'd learned from sephy. She pulled up a screen and searched for the spell that let her create people. "Hey stop, you can't make people yet until we finish the universe" sephy said poking her head through hikari's screen. "But I need the hope of the people to become more powerful?" Hikari said pushing sephy's face out of the screen. "Yeah but if you spawn people now they'll die and you'll lose points." Sephy said poking her head back into the screen. "Fine. What say we do then?" Hikari said closing her screen and crossing her arms. "We should loan power from another god!" Sephy said sitting on hikari's head. "There's other gods?" Hikari perked up looking at sephy on her head. "Yep and gods can loan other gods powers.. usually a starter god should have enough power to form a simple planet but I guess your just one of the less powerful gods." Sephy said patting hikari's head. "Less powerful.." hikari pouted feeling a bit saddened. Sephy noticed this and floated down infront of hikari putting her small finger tips against her nose. "Hey cheer up, usually weak gods like you eventually become the most powerful. Or they descend to angle rank after becoming too weak.." sephy mumbled the last part. Hikari didn't hear the last part but felt better after hearing sephy's words. "I know a god that'll help you, but you have to summon them" sephy said sitting on hikari's shoulder and pulling up a screen for the both of them to look at. "Wind master yuro. She's known for being the god of well wind but also being very kind" sephy said leaning against hikari's cheek. "She often loans her power to smaller gods since she has so much of it. But she's kind of hard to summon and you have to pay her back once you start collecting faith points" sephy points out, wagging her finger all knowingly as she speaks. "So this god will help me create my world?" Hikari asks. "Yeah if you were listening to what I said!" Sephy said sarcastically looking at hikari with a smile. "Yeah yeah I heard you" hikari strained hearing how truly loud sephy could get being right next to her ear and all. "Good. Come on let's summon her." Sephy said as she flew down infront of hikari and lifted her hands infront of her where a small book poofed infront of her. "The book isn't important I just have to make it so this'll work" sephy says as she tucks book into her arm and waves her other hand around a few times mumbling something really quickly. "Okay we are ready to summon her now" sephy said as she flew back up onto hikari's shoulder. "What was that about then?" Hikari asked turning to sephy. "I just needed to send her an sacred script before we summoned her so she would ya know prepare herself" sephy simply said. "Sacred script?" Hikari asked even more confused. "Think of it like how you humans like email each other and stuff." Sephy said looking at hikari with a blank expression. "Oh, right right.." hikari said turning her head straight again. "Okay so just lift your hands and repeat after me" sephy said getting up from hikari's shoulder and floating next to her. "Blinding shinging star, summon the master of winds, see what can't be known" sephy spoke. "Finally something that isn't in their strange language.." hikari thought to herself. "Blinding shining star, summon the master of winds, see what can't be known" hikari repeated after her. "In every element of life, let there be her" sephy spoke once more. Hikari in fashion repeated after her and suddenly the once empty and foggy place felt a strong gust of wind blowing through it. Sephy flew back as the winds were too strong and hikari almost fell, taking a step back to ground herself. "The wind master has arrived!" A woman spoke in a loud confident voice. "I, your saving grace, wind master yuro has appeared before you" the woman spoke flapping her fan with a smile. She had blue hair and pearls lining her cheeks, with those same white eyes and eyelash's everyone seem to have which made hikari wonder if she had them too as she never had a chance to look in a mirror yet. The blue haired woman dressed in a long gown that had a kimono like appearance walked over to hikari with a smile. Her dress was lined in pearls and was made of what hikari could only guess to be of the finest silk she'd ever seen. The dress featured patterns relating to that of the wind with streaks of wind detailed to flow all throughout the dress. "Dearest hikari, oh what a lovely name. It's always such a treat to meet baby gods" the woman spoke taking hikari's hands while smiling. "I'm sure you'll make a wonderful god... let me guess, god of electromagnetic energy?" The woman guessed leaning close to hikari's face. "Or perhaps god of malice?" The women said smirking slightly. "Leave her alone yuro" sephy said flying infront of her to separate the two. "Aww but you know I just love baby gods sephy.." yuro said crossing her arms with a mischievous expression. "I didn't summon you fawn over this "baby" god, I summoned you so you could loan us some faith points. Like you usually do?" Sephy said crossing her arms with a look of disdain. "Of course of course, it said that in the sacred script how could I forget?" Yuro chuckled shaking her head. Yuro gently nudged sephy out of the way and took hikari's hands. "Now dearest hikari I am going to offer you some of my power also known as faith points. Do you mind if I just hold your hands for a while as I give you your points? Well- I kind of have to so I can connect to your power points" yuro said as she mesaged hikari's hands in her own. "Oh it's okay" hikari said nervously feeling a little embarrassed from yuro's hand mesages. "Here I go !" With that yuro closed her eyes and began to concentrate. Her face looked like that of a serious one but she still held that same smile. Suddenly that same strong wind began to blow around the plane causing sephy to be swept up in the tornado of winds. "H-Hey yuro you don't have to be so dramatic with ITTTTTTTT" sephy shouted as she flew around and around in circles in the tornado of winds. Both hikari and yuro's hands began to glow, blinding hikari as she squeezed her eyes shut. As hikari's eyes remained shut the light traveled from yuro's hands up hikari's arm until it clasped around her upper arm leaving a golden ring around her upper arm. It made a clinking sound as it sealed itself around hikari's arm. When yuro opened her eyes, she smiled brightly at hikari. "Hikari open your eyes!" Yuro said excitedly. Upon opening her eyes she saw the golden ring clasped tightly around her arm. It was a simple golden ring littered with words in an text she didn't understand. "I've now given you a power bond. You can use it until you ascend to a higher rank than the ring breaks" yuro said with a knowing smile. Hikari looked down at the ring around her arm then back at yuro a little confused on what to do next. "Ah.. thank you Mrs wind master!" She forced out unsure if that was the right thing to say at the moment. "Oh it's okay it's okay little one. Many gods have my seal on them" yuro pointed out. "Ah okay.." hikari mumbled looking down at yuro who was still holding her hands. Yuro continued to smile at hikari a look of pure adoration in her eyes. "Hey quit it yuro we have to start building the universe now!" Sephy said in a shakey voice as she floated down in a spiral landing on hikari's head like a feather. She layed sprawled out on hikari's head for a while as she tried to recollect herself then she sat up and flew down to hikari's shoulder clutching her head. "Oh I'm sorry sephy, I forgot your not accustomed to my wind like my angel fawna." Yuro said in a gentle voice taking sephy in her hands and lifting her to her face. "It's alright really thanks for loaning us your faith poin-!" Before sephy could finish her sentence wind master blew soft air on her but it didn't blow her away this time. "What are you doing.. uh wait.. I feel better now" sephy realized opening her eyes as she took her hand off of her head. "I used to do this for my angel fawna all the time when she would feel sick from my winds. I'm glad you feel better" yuro spoke as she gently pet sephy's head with her finger. "Thanks.." sephy mumbled looking down feeling a bit embarrassed. "Hikari let's build that universe now" sephy said turning her to look at hikari while still sitting in yuro's hands. "Yes let's build your universe!" Yuro said softly with great excitement" looking up from sephy to look at hikari an ecstatic look on her face. Hikari now feeling a bit of pressure afraid she'll only be able to build a small rock clump again like last time. Everyone moved over into the empty creation room with hikari. As hikari began to chant the ancient words sephy and yuro stared in awe. "This is my favorite part!" Yuro said excitedly, her eyes going a little big as she stared at hikari. Sephy sat back in yuro's hands feeling quite comfortable to be able to rest finally not having to fly all the time. Suddenly the room filled with wind and stars began to light up in the sky. A blue orb could be seen forming in hikari's hands And it was slowly glowing larger. "Eeeeeck I'm so exited!" Yuro said barely able to contain her excitement as she held onto sephy so she wouldn't fly away again. With one final chanting of the ancient words the blue orb burst and the universe came to be in an immediate explosion. With this came a shock of bright light that blinded everyone in the space. When the light disappeared what could be seen was a new galaxy. Each planet had its own unique look but looked nothing like the planets that hikari had seen in her own time. "Hikari.." sephy mumbled her eyes wide as she stared at hikari. "You've ascended!" Yuro cheered running over to hikari and hugging her. She took hikari's face in her hands and began pinching her cheeks and stretching her face while mumbling the randomest things in a language she didn't understand but she could tell it was something a mother would say to a baby. "Ah I'm so sorry I just got so excited and slipped back into my original language" yuro said out of breath as she continued to squeeze and pinch hikari's cheeks. "It's just so adorable you look just like me now!!" Yuro said her eyes pulsating a light, that hikari guessed happened when gods were excited, the pearls that lined her cheeks also began to glow rapidly. "What do you mean just like you..?" Hikari asked very confused. "You haven't seen yourself?" Yuro said even more confused than hikari. Sephy suddenly shot up from yuro's shoulder and flew between them. "I'm soo sorry I forgot to teach hikari how to summon a reflective!" Sephy quickly said panicking. "Oh your gonna freak out when you see how you look now!" Sephy said in a worried attitude. "What happened am I ugly!?" Hikari asked now panicking. "Shhh no no your beautiful" yuro said cupping hikari's cheeks in the palm of her hands. "One minute" sephy said as she began to summon a reflective. The reflective simply appeared as a screen before hikari and the moment hikari saw herself she gasped. Hikari stared at herself in the reflective for a while touching her face. Her eyes were completely white, along with her eyelashes. She had black pearls lining her cheeks and a veil that was flipped backwards. She also now had long hair that started brown at the top and faded into black at the bottom. Her dress was transparent like all the other gods and was made of that same fine silk. She also now had a golden ring around her head and more golden rings lined her arms and fingers now. Tattoos that depicted her life as a human traced her arms and back that were the only parts of her clothing that were exposed. Hikari continued to look at this new appearance in shock unable to look away from the reflective. "Are you okay..?" Sephy asked as the space had gone silent. Hikari looked down for a moment having mixed feelings. She did think she was pretty but she wasn't sure what the tattoos meant. Sephy flew and sat on hikari's shoulder patting her cheek with her small hands. "Hey cheer up in this world your actually supposed to be very pretty" sephy said with a smile. "It's not that... it's the tattoos" hikari whispered. "The tattoos?" Sephy said now confused. She flew around hikari to get a better look at her tattoos. "I've never seen a god with tattoos before?" Sephy said with a interested look on her face while still circling hikari. "What's this about yuro?" Sephy said with a slightly serious expression flying over to yuro with her arms crossed. Yuro was looking the other way with a nervous look on her face. "Uh.. I may have left this out but... gods like her who ascended from being human usually have tattoos that detail their ascension..." yuro said in a shakey voice, now realizing how terrible hikari's ascension was. "How do I get rid of them!?" Hikari asked in a worried voice. Yuro now feeling really bad took hikari's hands and prepared to break the news's. "You can't...  it's a requirement from the council of heaven so we can differentiate true gods and gods who ascended.." yuro said looking at hikari with the most empathetic smile. "So everyone is gonna know that I died while getting my ass beat?" Hikari said now fuming. Yuro looked away nervously letting go of hikari's hands and putting them behind her back as she began to walk away. "Well you know I have to get back to my heavenly duties as master of winds so- you deal with her sephy!" Was the last thing wind master said before running away and taking out her fan to summon a huge gust of wind that would take her back to her realm.
