"Ana..." He stepped toward me and I felt my walls crumbling down. Suddenly, my phone rang and I jumped. I grabbed it off the dock and saw that it was Leah.

"I'll be a second," I said, jogging downstairs. "Hello?" I said as I answered.

"Aiyana, guess what?" Leah sounded undeniably happy.

       "What, Leah?" I laughed.

"So, get this shit. Bella jumped into the freaking ocean, trying to commit suicide, I guess. Jake saved her! then they get all romantic on the way to Bella's house. One of those Cullen chicks was there and Jake went inside the house with Bella. Well, apparently the bloodsucker that left Bella a few months ago is going to the head bloodsuckers so they'll kill him because he thinks Bella committed suicide. So, the vampire girl and Bella are on their way to Italy to save the guy. Then Bella and Jake kissed, blah blah blah. Can you believe that crap?!"

She finished speaking and caught her breath. My eyes widened and I looked at the stairs.

"Leah, let me call you back. I'm about to kill a werewolf," I snarled. Leah laughed and I hung up. I jogged upstairs and Jacob was looking at something.

"You're only here because your bloodsucker bait ran off to Italy to save her damn boyfriend," I growled, throwing my phone on to my bed. He turned slowly, looking ashamed.

"Ana, that's not the only reason."

"Get the hell out of my house! Leave me alone. You messed me up, Black and you don't even care! Just--" Before I could finish, I felt that strange feeling in my body.

My eyes widened and my vision blurred. My heart clenched in my chest. My arms started shaking, then I was on my back, convulsing.

"Ana! What's wrong? Talk to me!" Jake wrapped his arms around me. My back arched and my body shook against the floor. My toes curled and Jake tried his best to hold me tightly so I wouldn't break anything. This seizure was lasting too long.

I let out a shrill scream as my back arched painfully again. Jacob's hands left me and I heard him talking on his phone.

"Get here! Quick!" He yelled. A few seconds later, I heard footsteps coming upstairs. My toes uncurled and I started to settle down. I kept my eyes closed, but I heard Leah yelling at Jacob.

"You dick! This is your fault!"

       "What?! How?" he yelled back.

"This all started because of you. You imprinted on her, for God's sake! She left this town, away from you, and she started having the seizures and asthma. She comes back for me and you imprinted on her and didn't even tell her! You ignore the connection and it made her seizures worse. Get the hell out of here! Go chase Bella."

Leah pulled me into a sitting position, cradling my head in her arms close to her chest. I opened my eyes to see Jacob backing out of the room, then running toward the stairs.

"Leah, how could this happen to me? Why me?" I said weakly.

"It's gonna be okay, Ana. I promise," she whispered, kissing my hair.
