Soojin

"Hey, wait. I never signed any papers," I said recalling all my memories.

"Looks like the drug has affected her nicely," he winked at Sooah.

"DRUG?" I questioned in horror.

"In the car I injected you with the drug. You were out of your control and that's when I made you sign the property papers. Sooah was out the entire day to bring the papers from her family lawyer. My late father-in-law was smart enough to keep the property papers with the lawyer," Alex said wrapping his right arm around Sooah's waist.

"You trusted Alex easily, so it was easy for us. Alex made you come to Korea and that's when we executed our plan," she said smilingly.

"I am going to the police right now," I turned around to move.

"What would you do? Drug test? The water which you drank early in the morning had a solution which removed the remaining drugs from your body and don't dare to call Miss Stephen because Alex has already hacked your phone."

"But here's a new phone for you babygirl. I enjoyed my time with you," Alex winked and held a phone.

"I FUCKING NITHER WANT YOUR PHONE NOR YOUR SHITTY MONEY," I growled and they laughed. My eyes were hazy with tears and my face had already turned red.

"Run from here and never show your face to us," Sooah said giving me a nasty look.

"I trusted you the most and considered you my sister," I whispered in a low voice which was only audible to her.

"But I never did," she scoffed.

"Now Miss Nameless, kindly run or else I can call the police. I have men there and you can say the Korean police is under my control. You cannot imagine my wealth . I have already sent your resignation letter to Miss Stephen and she has approved," he said in a terrific voice.

"Of course, I am leaving right now. I don't want all those wealth, I will earn myself and Miss Min. please remember that if our parents were still alive they would have been ashamed of you. It's good that they are no more," I threw my phone and left from there.

"They're MY parents," she smirked.

I just carried my coat and my laptop bags because all my certificates are stored there. I took a last glance of that house and left for the airport.

I fastened my steps and saw a park on the opposite side of the road. Without giving a second thought, I went there and sat on the park's bench.

I sat on a weathered wooden bench in the middle of the park, opened my laptop and checked for some flight tickets to any country where Koreans can go and reside freely. That's when Google showed me a country's name 'Japan'. During the recent G20 Summit which was held in India, Japan said that all Asians were allowed to visit in Japan without visa and could stay upto 5 years.

Luck was favouring me. I checked the tickets for the nearest flight which would depart from the Inchaeon airport after 6 hours. I booked it and completed all the online process of verification.

I had to kill time, so I stared aimlessly to the slides and swings of the park. How unexpected life is...one moment you were living in the stars and the next you would be standing under the ocean of betrayal.

The thought of being a half Korean struck me hard and made me question my whole existence. I considered my entire life as a 'lie'. The Universe had always been mean to me.

There was a silence to my soul; I felt like those fall-leaves under frost. I felt the chill in my blood, coldness bringing the synapses of my brain to a standstill. Part of it was a pain, yet one you could endure ...... I knew I could endure.

Used to the pain of feeling empty over and over again. It felt like I had been trying to pour feelings, emotions, memories, and purposes into my life only for one person to come and steal everything away from me.............. then they leave. Leave me empty and ....... Alone to try and figure out a way to stand up again and............ to continue breathing.

The air around me was thick carrying the scent of those beautiful blooming flowers but the storm inside me was s strong that I wasn't able to enjoy the gifts of nature.

The laughter of children nearby made me remember about my beautiful childhood days. Appa used to take us to parks on Sunday and Sooah always played the Family-Family game. My eyes were dulled by betrayal and I looked aimlessly at the path ahead.

My mind was a whirlpool of emotions now, I couldn't think straight. A tear fell from eye onto my lap and a sudden gust of wind blew against my face. No matter how much I tried to forget those scenes, they were continuously replaying in my mind. Each time it played - the pain felt anew and sharper.

I checked my watch and decided to leave the park. I took the bus and reached the airport after 4 minutes.

In the plane:

After a long process of verifications and stuff, I was sitting in the plane finally. It started moving and I glanced out the window. The evening sky displayed crimson shades of pink, purple and red. It was going further above and now the whole city was under my view. How funny! The once tall mighty strong buildings were looking so minute now.

After a while there was nothing down, except for clouds. The seat beside me was empty, so I kept my bag there and asked for a glass of warm water. My cold fingers held the body of the hot cup. Instead of drinking, I stared at my reflection the crystal clear surface. I looked so gloomy and my eyes were still red.

You fade into reality Sooah and I wonder if it all truly was  only a dream...

After 2 and half hours, I finally landed into the place where I truly belonged - Japan.

I stepped out of the airport and the bustling elite of Tokyo glowing with lights welcomed me. As I walked into the grandeur of the city, my eyes scanned for hotels to stay. Everything looked expensive but since my previous company paid me well, I would survive. But this wasn't the permanent solution. I had to find a house and a job.

I dragged the suitcase with me while groups of people passed me laughing and enjoying the beauty of the city. To escape from the distant hum of traffic, I made my way to a small alley. There was a small street food stall so I purchased some dumplings and again turned back to face the glowly ambiance.

I espied a brightly lit building in the heart of city with a illuminating  sign board 'HOTEL PALACE'. I went in to seek shelter. They gave me a room and in the third floor and luckily that hotel wasn't that expensive.

I fell into the soft bed, exhausted. I turned my head and looked outside the window to have a look of the night sky. I took a deep breath, trying to draw strength from their distant light. I was in Tokyo now, far from the betrayal that had shattered my world. It was time for me to rebuild, piece by piece, even if I had to start from the very beginning and I would, surely.
