The one in charge wasn't joking when he said it'd be a long drive. I dozed off a couple of times but read for most of it. All the while I hugged my bag close to me. Soon a big mansion came into view and more guards surrounded the area. I could feel the anxiety in me rise as we approached closer to the mansion.  The one in charge cleared his throat as he spoke into his earpiece.

"Stand down." Was all he said and the guards all backed away and went to their posts.

The man next to me opened the door and stepped out allowing me out as well. I looked all around me and noticed to one side there was the ocean illuminated by the moon and the other side was surrounded by trees. Suddenly I heard barking and it kept getting closer. Feeling my heart race I slung my bag on my back and jumped back in the car closing the door behind me. I quickly jumped in the front locking the doors so they couldn't be opened and pulling the keys out of the ignition throwing them on the dash. I knew that if I tried to drive away they'd kill me and this may end up being a better situation for me to thrive than at Red's. On top of the barking  I heard yelling from the guards who surrounded the SUV with loaded weapons pointed at me. They were demanding me to exit the vehicle. I looked at the ones I could see through the cracked windows of the SUV and the windshield shaking my head no. When the dogs jumped on the car I screamed fear taking over me.

Through it all I heard the captain yelling, "Back down! Back Down before I call our boss!" He yelled then turned his attention toward the dogs, "Basta!!!" On that one command the dogs backed down immediately.

The captain looked at me, "Amaya, I know you don't want to run away. They don't know that. I need you to exit the car now."

I shook my head no frantically, moving my attention around to the other guards with weapons still pointed at me and the dogs still in attack mode. I shook my head no again.

"Break the windows!" one of them shouted.

"Idiot! the car is bullet proof and you can't simply just break into the car. Also pay attention to the fact that she put the keys on the dash which indicates she isn't going to run away. Everyone back down now" the one in charge said. "I'll stay here with here until our Boss comes home. Fred, Alex, Jax, put the dogs away, everyone else back to your posts."

I climbed to the backseat and laid down with my backpack. There are hundreds of dogs and it'll take a while for them to be put away as he said. As I waited I fell asleep to the sound of the ocean in the distance and the sound of the guards wrangling up the dogs. After some time I woke up the faint sound of the locks unlocking and the back door opening. I briefly looked over and saw the one in charge standing there shaking his head.

"You're going to give me more trouble this way than if you tried to escape every night." He mumbled grabbing my hands and pulling me into a sitting position. "Come on"

I got one of my hands free and rubbed my eyes before laying back down in the seat, "Just let me sleep here please..."

"No can do, Amaya," he said pulling me into a sitting position again, "Come on, I'll get you inside"

"Please...just for tonight? I feel safer here..." I mumbled.

He groaned, "You're making my life harder, Amaya. Besides, we need to let the dogs loose again."

"Fine.." I sighed hugging my bag closer to my chest before sliding out of the backseat with his help. I wobbled a bit before he steadied me.

"Can you walk?" he asked and I nodded following him inside. As we got closer I swayed a little too much to the side and lost my balance. Thankfully he caught me and picked me up into his arms, "You will definitely give me grey hair at this point.."
