I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I answered it and heard my mom talking.
"Hey Jake we're round the corner. Just letting you know so you're awake in case we can't find the keys."
"Ok mom, I'll go down and wait for you love you bye" I responded.
"Love you byeeeee" she said back before putting the phone down.
"Oh no I slept in" I said.
I got out of my bed and realized that I was still wearing the drynite. It was (as the name suggests dry.
I pulled it off and quickly put on some underwear, a T-shirt and shorts. But before I could even open my bedroom door, I heard the front door unlock.
"Oh no oh no oh no oh no" I said worriedly. "I'll just put it in the bin in the bathroom and worry about it later. I ran to the bathroom, drynite in hand and then... I ran into my niece, Nika. I realised that I'd dropped it and scrambled to pick it up, hoping that she didn't see.
"Hey Nika!" I said nervously.
"Jake?" She asked "What's behind your back?"
