[Fallin]
[Chapter One]The Wedding
*****
The bomb, that was a memory he could never forget... The fear on his mother's face as she shoved him into the box, the last time he had ever seen her before everything became deafeningly loud and then nothing...
Y/n's eyes shot open with a sharp intake of air as he stared up from his makeshift bed, which was just the floor while he had his jacket rolled up and placed under his head, his eyes roamed around the room as his fingers instinctively grasped his knife next to his leg, eyes focusing on the figure that had stopped by the door.
"Good morning to you too," Lee Maldover shook her head as she leaned against the door and looked at the young man lying on the floor. "You do realize what a bed's used for right?" She joked as she motioned to the corner of the room.
"I'm less likely to be noticed here," Y/n calmly spoke as he sat up, sliding the knife into the pouch on his hip before standing up completely. "Any news?" He asked as he grabbed his jacket only to have Lee throw something else at him, catching it as he looked at the brunetteed woman.
"Get ready, it's your wedding day," She smiled as she pushed off the frame and began walking away.
"I'm sorry but what?!" Y/n growled as he walked after Maldove, clenching the blue and gold uniform in his hands.
"You asked for an update so I gave you one," Lee answered with a smile.
"Guess that's my fault, I meant any good news," Y/n corrected himself with a sigh as he glared at the older woman.
"And here I was excited to watch you get married..." Lee joked as she shook her head. "All grown up and mature..."
"Cut the crap," Y/n groaned as he glared at the woman. "You expect me just to be alright faking a marriage to a dweller?" He scoffed as he shook his head. "This is ridiculous, why can't one of the idiots do it? Like Monty," He questioned before watching Maldover stop and pinch the bridge of her nose.
"Because it needs to be believable and the problem with letting one of the idiots do it is that... Well, they're idiots," Lee explained as she looked at the younger man. "I need you to do it, get them to lower their guards so that this is easier for all of us," She explained.
"When my mother said she wanted me to settle down, I don't think she meant to settle down for like, three hours," Y/n scoffed as he looked at the uniform in his hands.
"Sadly, neither do I," Lee laughed as she took the blue and yellow jacket from him and held it up. "We need to work together for this to work, do you trust me?" She asked with a smile.
"Of course," Y/n rolled his eyes as he turned around and slid into the jacket.
"Good, now go get ready," She said before walking away. "And you're going to have to leave your gun here, don't want them to accidentally find it," Lee added before disappearing behind the corner, leaving the younger man just standing there and staring at the wall with a blank expression.
