[Chapter 2]The Escape
*****
"So stay here and try not to get killed," Y/n scoffed as he made his way past the injured Lucy and walked into the hall once again, head turning to look down the hall as he took a deep breath. "Maybe we can all just have a chat..." Y/n mumbled to himself before chuckling and making his way down the hall, his grip tightening around his two karambits.
Y/n had turned down one of the halls and watched as one raider was chasing a dweller, the raider had his gun in hand but didn't even aim at the dweller and instead just enjoyed the chase.
"Wow," Y/n stepped behind the Vaultie as they continued running but Y/n slowed down the raider. "Is this really necessary?" He asked with a grin as he looked at the man, sliding the karambit knives into the waistband of his pants and holding his hands up.
"What the hell are you doing?" The raider questioned when he realized that Y/n had stopped him from killing the Vault Dweller, a few more raiders strolled around the corner, all covered in blood as they looked at Y/n in confusion. "Are you helping these scum?!"
"I'm merely trying to figure out what is going on because a genocide wasn't on my to-do list," Y/n joked as he lowered his hand while the other ran through his messy bed hair.
"Well, it's on mine and you just helped my target escape," The raider pointed out, waving his gun around as he looked at the guys behind him. "Guys, Y/n helped a dweller, what are we going to do about that?" He asked condescendingly as the other three chuckled.
"Pretend that nothing happened and just leave," Y/n suggested with a massive grin as he watched the raider's scowl aim at him as he pointed the gun at Y/n. "No?... Fine..." He let out a sigh before acting in a blitz, yanking the blade from his waist and throwing it.
The blade flew right at the raider before he could even pull the trigger, the blade slicing across the underneath of his forearm before embedding itself into the inside of the raider's elbow, the man screamed as he dropped the gun, blood pouring out of his arm like a waterfall as the other three raiders raised their guns.
Y/n dashed forward, sliding across the floor on his knees as he grabbed the gun before it hit the ground as he grabbed the raider and pulled him closer just as bullets flooded the hall. Y/n used the raider as a shield, closing his eyes as blood sprayed around him like a mist rolling in.
"My turn," He hissed as the shower stopped and he heard the sound of magazines unloading before he dropped the now dead body to his side as he stood up and raised the gun and pulled the trigger, the back of the first raider's head exploded as chunks splattered against the wall as the other two ducked behind the corner.
Y/n saw a glimpse of one raider against the shattered glass lying against the wall as he drew his second karambit from his waist and flung it, watching it fly past the corner and bounce against the wall before he heard yelling and the tip of the second raider came into view as the knife stabbed him in the knee and caused him to lose balance, Y/n aimed and fired, this bullet piercing threw the side of the man's head before the opposite side exploded outwards before his corpse fell to the floor.
