Second Date

I woke up the next morning, looking at a peaceful Sean. I almost freaked out, but then I remembered where I was and what happened last night. I quietly slipped out of the bed and walked down the stairs. I found some post-it notes and wrote a note to Sean. "Thank you for being there for me last night. It felt nice to tell someone. Talk to you later. P.S, I will be on the gmod servers later if you want to invite some friends". I grabbed my shoes and walked across the street. I didn't want my dad to know I left, so I climbed the tree back up to my room. My dad must have not noticed I left the house. Not that he would care. I could get kidnapped and raped and he wouldn't care. I grabbed my book and continued reading it. A few minutes after 10, Sean started texting me.

Sean: you doin ok?
Me: yeah. Thanks for being there for me.
Sean: no problem. Ready for our date tonight
Me: yeah of course does 8 o'clock work?
Sean: yeah. See you then.
I put my phone down and went back to my book. I was almost finished with it, hopefully just in time for the movie(remember, she's reading Paper Towns). A couple minutes after noon, my Skype went off. I looked over and saw that it was Sean. I got up and walked over to my computer. "Hey Sean. What's up". "We have friends". "Hey Shelby". Minx of course. "Hey Minx". "We have Adam and Dlive too". "You back for more gmod"? The guys laughed. "Why else would we be here" Dlive pointed out. "Now guys. And Minx, can we keep this one short I have stuff to do later" Sean said. "I do as well". We started with murder, again. I was a bystander first, sadly. And I sadly didn't win. Thankfully, I was the murderer next. I used the same strategy I used the first time. Again, I saved Sean for last. "Are you guys all dead" he asked. "Yeah. Shelby's the murderer" Adam said. "How is she so good" Dlive asked. I sighed. "We've been over this remember. No friends equals lots of anger. I used gmod and that one tree in my backyard to get my anger out". "Where's the gun". "You're not going to get it in time". "Dude. She's crazy" Adam pointed out. "In the best ways. Oh come here Jack". "No. Not going to happen" he said as his character ran around the corner. "You're forgetting one thing Jack". Minx started laughing. "And what is that". I flung the knife. "That". I got him point blank. Everyone started laughing. I looked over at my clock. 2 o'clock. I still got time. We played prop hunt after that for a couple hours. I looked over at the clock again. Just after 4 o'clock. "Guys, I have to go. Talk to you guys later". I hung up on Skype and logged off of the computer. Looking over at my closet, I tried to find the cutest outfit I had. I settled for a long dress and some flats.

Time skip

I grabbed my coat and purse and walked down the stairs. "Where are you going young lady". "Nowhere Dad. Leave me alone". I walked out the door and slammed it behind me. I looked at my phone. 7:59. At exactly 8 o'clock, Sean walked out. I waved and walked over to him. "You look cute". I twirled around, making the bottom of the dress flare out. "You look handsome sir". He laughed. "So. What do you have planned for tonight". "We have reservations at a nice restaurant". "Oo. Alright. Let's get going". We reached the restaurant and got escorted to our table. "Sean. Can we talk". "Yeah. What is it". "Are we a couple now? I mean. We've been on two dates". "Yeah. Here let me make it official. Shelby. Would you be my girlfriend". "Yes Sean. I would". I grabbed his hand. And he gladly accepted it. After we were done, we started walking back home. Playfully, I jumped on Sean's back and he caught me. We both started laughing like crazy. "Goodnight, boyfriend". "Goodnight, girlfriend". He waved and walked across the street to his house. I laughed and walked into my house. "Might I ask where you went". I turned around and saw my dad sitting in his chair. "I went out on a date. With someone that loves me. Not like you would care". "Oh you little". He got up and started walking towards me. I picked the bottom of my dress up and started running. "Get back here". "No". While I was running, I thought of where I should go. Sean's house. I ran towards the front door, but before I could, Dad grabbed my coat, that I had yet to take off. Tears started to come as I was dragged back into the living room.
