Picture: Sam and Kenzie

9 years later

"Sam! Kenzie! We have to get you to Nana's". My twins then ran out of their shared bedroom and down the stairs to see who could be the fastest. "Mom. Sam pushed me". "Well Kenzie cheated". "Guys no fighting. Or it's going to be an unpleasant week for everyone". "Mom. Why can't we go to the convention too" Kenzie(picture shown) asked with her bright blue eyes. "We just don't want you to get hurt. Also, we don't have anyone to look after you if we go out. And you have school". She sighed and walked into the living room. You could tell she was turning out like Sean, with her blue eyes and her in your face personality. She was made for Youtube. Sam on the other hand was the more reserved one. He had my brown eyes and quiet personality. He liked to sit on the windowsill with a book, unlike his sister. "Sean, come on. We have to catch our flight" I called from the bottom of the stairs. He then came out a minute later with his computer bag on his shoulder. "When did you become my mom" he asked teasingly. "At the alter. And now you're mine" I responded, holding up my hand. "No kissing" Kenzie yelled. Sam sat on the windowsill with his backpack on his back. "Alright. Everyone in the car". Sam jumped up and ran out, forgetting to put his hood up. By the time he reached the car, his hair was soaked. Kenzie opened her umbrella up and ran out to the car. "They're the cutest thing. I think we did good" Sean said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. I looked up at his eyes, still bright blue after nine years of living with two kids. "You know, we could have another" I joked. "NO! Two is enough".

10 hours later

Our plane landed at LAX late that night. The jetlag was real getting off the plane. "How long has it been since we've been in the States" Sean asked. "Too long. I'm thinking up to nine years". Sean shook his head and we went to get our suitcases. "When are we meeting Mark" I asked, hailing a taxi. "Tomorrow at PAX. Then he'll stay in our hotel room". A taxi showed up and we got in the back. I laid my head down on Sean's shoulder. For the first time in nine years, I could relax in peace. "Just fall asleep. You need it" he said, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. "You should too. You need sleep too" I pointed out. "Sleep is for the weak. Just go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we get to the hotel". And just like that, I fell asleep. A few hours later, Sean shook my shoulder. "Come on baby, we're here". I stretched and got out of the taxi. "You didn't sleep" I asked, paying the taxi driver. "No. You need it more than I do". I shook my head and we walked into the hotel. "You mumble when you sleep, you know that". "Thanks for reminding me". He held my hand and we walked up to the front desk.

Kenzie's POV

"Alright kids, time for bed" Nana said, turning off the television. Sam dashed upstairs while I walked slowly up the stairs to our room. When I got to my room I pulled out my suitcase, grabbed my cotton Totoro pajamas and slipped under the sheets. "Good night little ones" Nana said, kissing our foreheads. She flicked the light off and shut the door quietly. "Kenzie". I rolled over to look at my brother. "Yeah Sam". "Nothin. Just checking to see if you're still there". I raised an eyebrow and flicked the lamp on. "Sam, what's going on. You're not like this". "I was just wondering. Will Mom and Dad end up like Mom's parents. And we'll end up like Mom". I threw the blankets off and sat up. "No, of course not. They love each other too much". "So did Nana and Grandpa". "Their relationship didn't work out. And ending up like Mom? What, happy? With awesome kids and an awesome spouse? That's any person's dream. Don't worry about anything. Nothing will happen to us". He nodded and laid back down under his blankets. "Good night Kenzie". I shook my head, turned the light out, climbed into bed and fell asleep.
