Sakura blinked sleepily as she stirred from her slumber, the early morning light filtering through the curtains. She watched with confusion as Kakashi hurriedly dressed into his Jounin attire, his movements betraying a sense of urgency that sent a jolt of apprehension through her.
"Kakashi, is everything alright?" she asked, her voice thick with sleep.

He turned to her, his expression aloof as he pointed towards the door. "I sense Ino's chakra signature closing in."
In an instant, Sakura's grogginess vanished, replaced by a surge of panic. Ino, her best friend, was on her way, undoubtedly with suspicions swirling in her mind. "shit," Sakura cursed under her breath, scrambling to gather her clothes as she tried to formulate a plan to handle the impending confrontation.
But before she could voice her concerns, Kakashi's lips were on hers, silencing her protests with a kiss that sent her heart racing. As he pulled away, Sakura's mind whirled with confusion, her thoughts a jumbled mess.
She opened her mouth to apologize for Ino's unexpected intrusion, "I'm sor-" but Kakashi's words stopped her short. "It's fine," he whispered, his hand coming up to cup her cheek with a tenderness that left her breathless. "She already suspected us anyway, right? She's also your best friend so," he shrugged.
Sakura's brow furrowed in confusion. "Really? So, then you're going to tell Gai-san?"
Kakashi's response was immediate, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "No." he said, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Gai may technically be my best friend, but we never really talk about romance or feelings for that matter. I mean can you blame me for not discussing that topic around him?" He shuddered dramatically, eliciting a giggle from his blossom.
His hand still resting against her cheek as this thumb caressed her cheek bone, Kakashi continued. "Besides, I'm a lot closer to Naruto in that regard so to speak. I'll tell him about us, I think he deserves to know & I'm sure we can both manage to ask them to keep it a secret from everyone until it comes up naturally, or at least until we both take office."
