--------
I woke up to the barking of my new dog, Mason. He jumped on my bed and licked my face.

"Mm.. Mason.. Cut it out, boy.. I'm tired.."

He barked once again and rushed to the door.

"What is it buddy?.."

I got up and walked to the door. I opened it and to my surprise, Vaughn was standing at the door.

He had his hand balled into a fist, as he was about to knock.

"Oh-"

I shut the door quickly and had my back to the door. My eyes widened with panic as I looked around the living room looking for anything to help me look- well.. Decent.

I look like a mess! I can't face him like that! Oh goddess, I just shut the door on him! What is wrong with me..

I face palmed and opened the door. He was still standing there, though he looked confused. I lazily fixed my hair by combing them with my fingers.

"S-Sorry. Do you need something?"

He leaned against the door and stared at me.

"U-Um.. Vaughn..?"

He hesitated before replying.

"Oh.. Uh.. Hey.. Mornin'."

His cheeks were tinted the slightest bit pink and he tilted his hat down slightly. He stared at me before speaking.

"...This a bad time? I can come by later-"

I quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him into my house.

Why did I just do that?!

He stumbled into my house and I closed the door.

"U-Um, care to join me for breakfast? I'm having porridge..."

He smiled slightly (or at least, I think that's a smile) and took down his hat.

"Sure. Since I'm already here.. But if it's any trouble-"

"N-No trouble at all!"

I could feel the heat steaming off my face. I knew off the bat that my face was red.

Why am I so..
So..
Flustered?
Not to mention, I keep cutting him off...

I sighed deeply to myself and head to the kitchen. Mason jumped all over Vaughn as he walked over to the dining table.

As he sat, I could hear Mason whining for his attention, and Vaughn chuckling softly.

I blushed thinking to myself.

Oh dear goddess.. He has a really..

I gulped.

What am I thinking..

I exhaled heavily and brought two bowls of porridge to the table.

"Here you are."

He reached up to tilt his hat but realized it wasn't there and blushed, running his hand through his hair, trying to make it seem as if he hadn't done something embarrassing.

"Ah.. Thanks Chels.."

I noticed he called me "Chels" and I couldn't help but smile.

"No problem.."
