Vaughn's POV
I hate every Sunday, because I either have to stay up the whole night or wake up at 3:30am just to grab my stuff and head out to the boat. I guess there's only one or two reasons I'd still go though. One's cause of my aunt and cousin. The second reason's because.. I guess you could say I have "friends". If you count Denny. And maybe Chelsea..

I grabbed my case and put on my boots and head out the door. The only source of light are from the streetlights that seem to go on forever.

I take my time walking to the docks since the boat doesn't arrive till 4am. I sit on the bench and wait for it to get here.

Chelsea's POV
I woke up early today. Earlier than usual actually. It was 5am and not the usual 6am. Today was the day Vaughn was coming to visit, meaning it was Monday, the start of another busy week.

I looked at the calendar and unconsciously smiled.

Ugh.. Vaughn's coming back today..

Despite sounding displeased
about how he's coming back, I quickly head to Sprout Island and walked toward the dock, enjoying the fresh air.

I inhaled and exhaled deeply.

Ahh.. Fresh air.. Peace and quiet..

What I didn't realize was that I was purposely heading to the beach just to see Vaughn.

The boat docked and Vaughn came down with a case. I didn't notice him, and just kept to myself at the side of the shore.

"...sea?"

I was zoned out, lost in the middle of my own thoughts and looking at the sunrise.

"Chelsea."

I was staring out into the water.

"Chelsea!"

I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

"Huh? Oh- Vaughn?!"

He actually called me by my name for once..

"Jeez.. What are you doing spacing out at 5am. Most people are still asleep right now."

The reason that I wanted to see Vaughn didn't occur to me at the moment.

"I uh.. I like to watch the sunrise."

I made up a quick response. Hey, at least it wasn't a lie.

"Sure.."

He started to walk off the shore to Verdure Island but stopped.

"..You should probably head home, it's still a bit cold."

"Right.. Yeah I'll do that."

I sat there for a bit.

"...You.. You comin'?"

"...What?"

He caught me off guard.

Did he ask.. If I was coming? Wait.. Is he waiting for me?

"Oh! Uh, yeah, sure."

I walked over and followed behind him, blushing lightly.

I guess he's not all that bad of a guy.. But.. Anyways he's probably going to stop at Mirabelle's and then we'll part ways. That's fine, right..?

"Uh, so do you normally only carry that much with you when you come here?"

"It's troublesome to bring a large suitcase if I'm only staying twice a week. Besides, I don't need much.."
