She couldn't believe that Sadie Bloom brought up her past in a silly argument. Jenna had never felt so vulnerable, especially in front of Evie, who she tried to be a better person around. She didn't want her childhood to define her, because that didn't seem fair at all. Jenna just wanted Evie to like her- they seemed to be getting closer, and she didn't want Sadie ruining their friendship.

Jenna found herself stood up frozen in the middle of her empty Cabin, soon to be joined by Evie who had been following close behind her in confusion. Jenna planned to not tell anyone about living in a group home, she was okay with making her childhood up with lies.

"What was that about?" Evie asked curiously, shutting the cabin door behind her gently, "Do you wanna talk about it?"

"I hate her." Jenna blurted out in anger, "Who does she think she is?" She began pacing up and down, "Harper was right, she ruins people's lives. She's a fucking—"

"Jenna, take a breath." Evie interrupted, motioning for the girl to take a deep breath with her. And she did- it surprisingly helped. Evie continued, sitting down on a single bed next to Jenna, "On the bright side, you walked away from the situation. That's progress."

Jenna stayed silent for a moment, and she could feel Evie's body tense beside her. Jenna could feel that Evie was slightly uncomfortable, so decided to lighten the mood. Jenna questioned curiously, "What's your favourite colour?"

Evie was taken by surprise, but she seemed to relax a bit more. Evie replied,  "Yellow, like the sun. Why?"

"I realised we barely know anything about each other... other than my anger problems and you being gay." Jenna exclaimed, smiling slightly, "My favourite colour is green. Okay, when's your birthday?"

Evie nodded, "August 6th."

"November 24th." Jenna added, "What do you like to do in your free time?"

Evie replied, "I like to paint—"

Unexpectedly, a few small pebbles from the gravel path were thrown at the window, creating a knocking sound which interrupted the girls' conversation. Jenna sighed, she liked talking to Evie and she hated it when people interrupted- this better be good.

Surprisingly, it was Theodore and Antonio, the blonde boy continued to shuck small pebbles at the window even when Jenna and Evie had noticed them. Antonio snatched the rocks out of the boy's hands, throwing them onto the floor in frustration, like Theo was his own misbehaving toddler.

"Dude, stop! They can see us." Antonio huffed, "Why didn't we just knock on the door?"

"I don't know, Ant." Theo shrugged, "This way seemed more secretive."
