11. The True reason

Baekhyun was first unable to sleep thinking about all the stuff he had been through. Sleep was far away from his eyes. Time went on and he slept. He was quite tired as said above.

The next morning.....

Baekhyun squirmed in his position and felt a hand on his waist. He saw Chanyeol  still sleeping. His hand on Baekhyun. He began to admire his looks but he told to himself that this person in front of him is his husband. He unknowingly noticed that his hands are also on Chanyeol. He quickly pulled back but this awakened the latter. As Chanyeol was about to open his eyes Baekhyun closed his eyes pretending to sleep.

Chanyeol slowly opened his eyes and smiled at the small figure in front of him.

"In morning, whenever I open my eyes, I want to see this scene only."

He stroked his head and whispered.

"Good Morning, Baekhyun." After saying that he rose and went to bathroom to fresh up.

Baekhyun also rose. He was shocked by the fact that how Chanyeol's behaviour was. He stood silent quite surprised. They both got dressed. Chanyeol smiled looking at Baekhyun.

"Good Morning, Baekhyun." He wished him smiling fondly at him.

"Good Morning, Chanyeol." He said while taking miny glances at the taller.

"We should go at the dining hall."

"Yes." Baekhyun can only say this much.

They both made there way to the dining hall and were by the others. Chen striked a conversation.

"Baekhyun, where were you last night?"

He saw Chanyeol unable to continue his smile.

"Well... Chen it's.... I slept at Chanyeol's room."

Suho, Kyungsoo,Sehun and Chen both gasped. The awkwardness then seize the moment. Chanyeol wanted to say something but was taken back when he saw Suho quite angrily surprised to what his puppy said. Kyungsoo, Sehun and Chen were too stunned to speak.

"Let's eat, I am quite hungry." Baekhyun said changing the topic. While Chanyeol smiled at his cuteness.

After having breakfast, Chanyeol liked how Sehun and Kyungsoo even Chen tried to make Baekhyun comfortable. He noticed this when his puppy unexpectedly cracked some jokes resulting in loud outbrust in the group. Baekhyun can't  sit silent for long and it made him more attracted to him.

Baekhyun thought Chanyeol was not an arrogant person at all. He laughed heartily at his jokes. He didn't even try to anything like cliche things to him. He seemed every much friendly.

"It's not his fault. He was also forced to marry me. But he wants to get friendly with me. Maybe.... I should also shrug off this damn nervous and approach my friendlier hand to him." Baekhyun thought to himself unaware of the whole truth.

This whole time, he spent time With Chen, Kyungsoo, Kai, Sehun and Suho. While Chanyeol was not with them. Baekhyun realized this and thought Chanyeol is someone obedient to his father.

Whenever Sehun would try to ask Baekhyun that whether he liked Chanyeol or not. Suho would change the conservation.

Chanyeol  was in his father's suite. They were discussing some important affair when his mother joins.

"Just what are you thinking Chanyeol's Father ? Our son is literally now married and you are pestering him with work. Atleast let him out of this for now." His mother said.

"Well it's a stupid marriage anyways. It's a revenge I got for."

"And Chanyeol, don't get carried away from this marriage. You are foolish enough." His father screamed at him.

Chanyeol was shocked.

"Father, I don't understand, what are you talking about."

"Do you think, you felled for him and the stock things were the only reason I set up this marriage." His father yelled.

Chanyeol looked at his mother who was unable to held an eye contact with him.

"When I discovered Diyeon was fooling around, I still planned your marriage with her but then I discovered that her father wanted to take over the company by establishing relation with us. This angered me and I called off the marriage proposal. When you mentioned that Baekhyun's name and that you felled for him it angered me further. After you said the things about stock I calmed my mind and thought over."

"Father, I am sorry to say this but I know you are hiding something. Please tell me everything."

"You have been told everything you should."

"By the way, father, you first said  that my love for him and the stocks rising aren't the only thing. But what you said is of that thing only."

"Fine, son. The real reason for this marriage is Baekhyun's father. He was acquaintance with me. We were on good terms until he became an gambling addict with Lee Syungnim. They both betrayed me for the sake of money.and guess what- that Syungnim betrayed his father which got the family to hit rock bottom. Then he asked for the loan but bank didn't agree on the conditions. Lee Syungnim rose to power and became threat to us. When I discovered that he still have some relations with the Byun, as he didn't knew he was backstabbed. I gave him the loan from our mafia terms to know more about them but it was all just a plan of Syungnim. I saw this the best revenge for him. His precious son becoming part of our mafia family. For the sake of his son, he would try to cut off the relations with lee Syungnim. As his own son's life would be in danger.

Chanyeol listened the backstory. He was surprised by all this.

"Baekhyun's father was a mafia?"

"No, he was rising CEO. Don't overthink. I am just using Baekhyun as a shield for ourselves. I know you will get bored after that plus he maybe quite sensitive when he would discover that you are mafia then I will keep your divorce ready."

This words of his Father angered him. He clenched his fist but calmed himself.

"That will not happen Father."

With this he left.

"Why should you speak like this? You know he loves Baekhyun." His mother asked his father.

"He is carried away right now due to the beauty of latter. He will overcome it."

Chanyeol was angered by the whole condition.

"So... Father is using him to protect us."

He is in complete disbelief and cannot imagine this backstory behind his wedding. He stood at the door and saw Baekhyun laughing with his friends.

"Don't worry Baek, I will not let this inner conflicts affect our growing relationship. You are mine. I am your husband and I will always be."
