Natalie's POV-
My angel-like guide(I'll call her ALG till I know her actual name) in this unknown world continued talking, it's always relieving to have someone who answers all of your questions without you making the strenuous effort to ask them, especially when you do not know where to start. But all my thoughts came to a sudden halt when she said, "Milady, I've delayed it long enough due to my ramblings, we have to meet the young master, he would be immensely relieved and happy knowing that you've awakened" and even before I could make up an excuse, she pulled me along.
And here I was, in a large hall that exuded an elegance that could make you stare at it for an entire day without blinking, but what was more noticeable was the cold and powerful aura emanating from a tall dude(He's 6'3 ) who I could clearly tell was the brother of the og host, considering how glaringly similar they looked, he has raven hair of the same shade as the og host, bluish grey eyes which didn't have any warmth in them, they were cold, unfeeling, just what did he go through for him to become what he currently was?
He slightly narrowed his eyes at me as I'm sure he was aware of my scrutinizing look. He turned towards ALG and said, "You can leave for now Anna, I'll send someone to call you later, I need to talk to Natalie." Okay, so ALG's name is Anna, noted. And I'm a pig who's going to be slaughtered soon considering the chilling aura I'm surrounded with, Anna gave me a reassuring smile and left the hall.
He looked at me again, but his gaze was even colder than before, if that was scientifically possible, and if looks could kill me, I'd be six feet under again. When I thought, I'd just die slowly due to the deafening silence in the room, he spoke, "You're not Natalie, who are you?". Saying that I was shocked would be the hugest understatement of my life, but then again, why would a sister look at her brother with a look as if she was meeting a stranger for the first time, this guy was smart, I had to give him that, I decided to be honest, if I'd die again, I'd at least be free of the guilt that was slowly seeping into me and gnawing my soul, I wasn't even sure if it was symbolic feeling or a literal one, so I replied to him saying trying to hide my inner turmoil, "Yeah, I'm not the Natalie you know" and curious to know what about me gave away the truth, I asked, "How did you find out?". He laughed mirthlessly, I flinched hearing his laugh and tried hard not to break my eye contact (I've got this weird opinion that I must look at a person in the eye when I talk to them or listen to what they're saying to make them know that I'm paying attention to them). He said, "I've known my sister for the last fifteen years, even a minute change in her cannot escape my eyes, you're a different person, and I was there when the doctors declared that Natalie would not wake up, I couldn't feel her pulse, she wasn't breathing, and when you came to the hall, you were looking around as if it was the first time you were looking at it, you looked at me, scrutinizing me, all of these events were enough for me to know that you're not my sister."
He continued saying, "And I hope you share in detail how you possessed my deceased sister's body before my waning patience disappears". I was losing my patience too, dying due to the worst cliche, transmigrating not-so-smoothly, and dealing with a murderous brother of the body you suddenly possessed would affect anyone. I finally decided to use my vocal cords to justify myself and said, "Alright, dude, I'm gonna say things you've never heard before, soooo buckle up!", I hoped that there would at least be a minuscule change in his highness's facial expression, but nope, I can't help it that he is a stuck up bloke with eternal facial paralysis, I wonder how the poor og host survived as the sister of this dude. Anyhow, before I get incinerated for real, it's better to start talking. So, here I was about to share the great tale of my uneventful life before everything went downhill, "Before I start sharing the deepest, darkest secrets of my mysterious life, I just wanna know, your world isn't called Earth right?" He looked at me as if saying 'Really, are we really doing this now? ' but his gaze was more inclined towards mocking my intelligence or the lack of it, but somehow, he decided to use his energy for once and spoke saying 'No' and he said that the world we were in was called as Gaia, okay so the creator of this world is obsessed with Greek Mythology, by the looks of it.
I said, "Okay, I just asked that question to confirm if we were from different worlds and I understood that we're from different worlds. As, at least one of us has to follow social niceties, let me introduce myself. So, Hola! I'm Natalie Johnson, if I weren't dead, I would be 22 years 3 months, and 7 days old today. So, by the looks of it, I'm much older than you, (I try speaking in a deeper voice and fail of course) so respect your elders' young man!, hahaha. Okay, I'll shut up. So, in our world, in the modern era that I lived in, there were several forms of entertainment like movies, dramas, plays, books, athletics, video games, etc. Among them, the ones I am(even dying doesn't change my love for books) most obsessed with were books and their extension i.e. novels. There are several genres in them which we can happily discuss some other day if you're interested but there's this genre called transmigration which is what has brought me here. I loved reading the cnovels, knovels, manhwas, and every form of literature which revolved around this topic due to the endless possibilities it entailed. So, the process of transmigration is a phenomenon that occurs when the soul of the person who died transcends space and time and gets reincarnated or starts life in a whole new world, in the books I read, it's usually novels or animes or otome games which the protagonists are obsessed with or have recently read, but I've read hundreds of novels that I'm not even sure which novel this world belongs to. So, in many transmigration novels, the protagonists die due to the infamous truck-kun, where they're hit by a fast-moving truck and die. Unfortunately, I died due to this cliche, and then when I thought I'd get a well-deserved afterlife either in hell or in hell, I woke up in your world. So, before you decide to take me to church and exorcise me, do know that I'm not a demoness. And if you don't know what novels are just know that they're stories, soooo, any doubts?""And, hey, I can help you out in a way, though I do not know which novel this world is based on, I can tell what's your role in it, based on the information I've got till now, and based on your aura, you either have to be the ML(Male lead) or the SML(Second Male Lead) or the villain. I've heard Anna say that you and the Natalie of this world lost your parents, and then you've lost Natalie, this doesn't seem natural at all, it looks like someone has made it his/her job to make your life miserable, so you either must be an ML of a tragic novel or you must be the SML or a villain of a brain-dead novel, I'd like to call the novel brain-dead because I hate it when people who are good at heart suffer and have miserable lives. So, is there any guy in your kingdom who is always lucky, has a lot of power that he takes for granted, is arrogant, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and isn't endowed with actual intelligence? And god forbid, (I fake gasp) is he the crown prince?"
