Sebastian's POV

It's Saturday morning and I'm with April in the library.

Today is the costume party and both of us have agreed that the best thing we could do is finish the Herbology work due on Thursday. Since tomorrow we will be tired after the party, we won't do any work, and we don't think that we can get anything done on Monday with all the classes.

We've been here for two hours already and it's starting to get boring. I've never been too fond of Herbology, but April seems to like it pretty much. Still, she's been trying to keep her eyes open for a while. I can tell since we are both pretty close sharing a book.

It's been some weeks since the warning of Professor Weasley and she hasn't got a nice sleep since then. She looks so tired all the time, and I know she doesn't want us to worry, but I can't help it. I know Ominis and Poppy are worried too, we have talked about it when April isn't around. We just want her to get some sleep, really. We'll deal with the dark wizards another time.

But she is so stubborn. And I thought I was, but she? For Merlin's beard. She just needs to sleep one night without troubles and that would calm her. I bet there is a spell for that, or a potion. But there is no cause, she just doesn't want to ask the nurse for help. She starts babbling about not wanting to be treated like a child or whatever and then just leaves. And it's not like we can do it behind her back, she would kill us, for sure.

Well, not kill us, but she would be really mad at us. We don't want a sleep deprived April mad at us. She can be really annoying. It's when she gets more irritable, as I have figured out. Her lectures can take hours if she really means them.

Her head finally falls from her hand and almost hits the table.

"I can't believe it. Are you actually falling asleep doing homework?" I tease her.

"Never." She smiles with a sleepy face.

"Why don't you take a little nap? We're almost finished anyways." Before she can reply, I continue. "Don't pretend like you didn't do enough already. I didn't even know the books we have used. If we are doing this so quickly it's because you have already read them." She looks at me unsure. "Don't worry, I'll be here. If you start moving too much or making noises I'll wake you."

She gives me an apologetic look before laying on the table and looking at me angrily (hopefully joking).

"Fine, just five minutes. Wake me up before writing the last part."

"Of course." I'm not doing that.

Not even a minute later, she's asleep. Cute.

I take the book that was in between the two of us and start reading it quickly so I can finish this already. It takes me a good half hour to finish the paper, but it's done. April is really good at this class so I make sure everything is right before putting it aside, I don't want to mess up her grades.

I get up from my seat quietly so I don't wake April up and I return the books we have borrowed to their place. When I come back to our seat, she is still sleeping. I don't have the heart to wake her up. This is the most peaceful I have seen her in weeks. So, I take the first book about curses I see and return to my seat. I'll wake her up at lunch time. As long as she looks peaceful, I won't wake her up.

We spend a good part of the morning like this. I read this book that I'm certain doesn't have the answer to how to break Anne's curse and she sleeps by my side. Miss Scriber sees April sleeping a couple of times but she doesn't say anything to us, as she, as most of Hogwarts staff, is aware of her situation, more or less. They have seen her having trouble to concentrate or staying awake in classes after all. She thinks she is hiding it well, but you just notice when you look at her closely. Her constantly half-closed lids, the bags under her eyes, the way she walks like she is pushing herself, dragging her feet a little. It just shows how tired she is.
