-TORI'S POV-
A few weeks later Sherwood had agreed to me transferring schools in the middle of a school year and I can start as a sophomore at Hollywood Arts.
Funny enough I've never been to the school itself, not even for one of Trina's performances. They were always in a theatre somewhere else, because they had to clean their own theater or something. Also all the paper work for transferring to Hollywood Arts was online.
I am quite nervous as I'm starting my classes today. Trina said she's driving me, well, mom told Trina to drive me 'cause I don't have my license yet. Still sorry for that old lady, I just didn't see her! Anyway-
I am also very curious about how things go at an art school like this. On my schedule I have classes I didn't even know they taught. Like, acting, vocal music and script writing I would expect. But stage fighting or technical production? Never did I think I would have to learn that.
Trina parks her car in the parking lot of the school. I get out and the first thing I notice is that this whole outside of the school screams art. On every wall there is graffiti and when I say graffiti I mean a wall decorated with multiple colours like it's used as a canvas for a painting.
This is again a confirmation that everyone in this school is crazy talented!
Next to the parking lot there is a big open courtyard filled with tables, where we walk through. There is a food truck placed at the end of the courtyard and a kind of stage set over part of the tables, with speakers and lamps connected to it.
"Wow". I mumble, really impressed by the way this school doesn't feel like a school.
"It's cool right? This is the Asphalt Café, here's where we have lunch." Trina says.
"This is not a normal canteen". I respond awkwardly.
"Relax, you should see the inside. It's just a normal high school!"
'I really do hope so.' I think as I'm starting to feel those first day nerves.
Trina and I walk past the food truck, that's apparently called the Grub Truck, and move towards two big doors that are the entrance to the school.
"See, it's just a high school." Trina says.
As I look around I see all types of people being themselves and not caring for anything but what they're doing. And what they're doing is so cool! Some are making music, others are dancing around.
"This is not just a high school! These kids are all artsy and creative and talented, and I'm just... normal." I feel a brick form in my stomach. How on earth am I supposed to fit into all of this! I'm not as talented as all of these kids!
"It's okay, there's nothing wrong with being average."
Well that sure doesn't help...
"Anyway, you're not alone. I got your back." Trina tries to calm my nerves down.
My sister is something, I won't lie, but she can be very sweet sometimes! I do appreciate her being here for me.
"Okay. So..."
I am about to ask Trina where I can find the classroom for my first class. Drama from Mr. Sikowitz, when some random girl comes running towards us with a grin on her face.
"TRINA! Eric Paulson got his hair straightened" she says to Trina.
"Shut up! Oh my god!" Trina screams.
Annnnddd they're gone. So far her being here with me..
I look around to find a kind face to ask the way to my first class and soon I see a short red haired girl walking down the stairs. She's wearing a black skirt with colourful patches and a bright green, pink and white, typical high school jacket.
