-TORI'S POV-

I don't know what to think or feel. My emotions are a chaotic mix of anger, confusion, guilt, and relief.

I know I didn't hit her! I would have felt it if I did, but the blood...

After the incident Jade was nowhere to be found. Beck had told me that she got her mom to pick her up to go to the doctor.

After class I was called into the guidance counselor's office, where Lane tried to figure out what exactly had happened. But it was my word against Jade's and despite the truth that I didn't hit her, it seemed inevitable that I would face detention.

So I have two weeks of detention and I have to clean the black box theater after a play next week Friday.

The news of the incident had spread like a wildfire and while walking through the hallway to head home after school, I wished I could escape the prying eyes and whispers that followed me.

As soon as I get home, I quickly change into my gym shorts and sports bra. The only way to get rid of this frustration is to sweat it out. I grab a towel and make my way downstairs heading towards the garage.

The cool concrete of the garage floor greets my bare feet. I flip the light switch and the room lights up, revealing the heavy boxing sack hanging from the ceiling. In the corner I find my gloves and I wrap them tightly around my hands.

I take a deep breath and throw a few light punches at the sack, warming up my muscles.

Slowly but surely, my movements gain momentum. The light punches become stronger and I start including the kicks as well.

I'm moving into a rhythm where I zone out and completely forget about my surroundings. It allows my mind to wander back to today's events - to the shock on Jades face and the disbelieve in André and Cat's eyes.

I know they've known Jade for way longer, but it really hurt that they didn't believe a word I said.

With each punch and kick, I feel every negative feeling leave my body. Sweat drops are forming on my forehead and my breathing comes out heavy, while I feel a growing soreness in my muscles. I'm so lost in thoughts that I don't even hear someone entering the garage.

"Whoa, what's going on in here? It has been a while since I've seen you attempt murder on the boxing sack."

I pause mid-punch, turning to face Trina. Her face displays a mixture of surprise and confusion as she takes in the scene.

"Just needed to clear my head, you know? Today's been a bit much." I reply.

"Murdering the sack, huh? Need help burying the evidence?" Trina smirks, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Cause, if you need an accomplice, I'm in."

I let out a laugh and pause briefly, my breathing still heavy, and grip the boxing sack for support.

"But seriously, what's going on, Tori? You don't usually go all MMA on the poor sack." She says while she walks towards me and hands me my towel. I mutter a small thanks, give her a grateful nod and wipe my head.

Trina raises an intrigued eyebrow. "Is this all about you throwing a surprise punch at Jade during stage fighting class?" She pushes further.

I release a frustrated groan, feeling the weight of the rumors coming back to me. "Uhhggg.. why has everyone heard about it already!"

"Well I heard it from Nancy that heard it from Patrica that heard it from Jeremy that his cousin saw Jade with a bleeding eye. And when I asked Robbie, he said you hit her with some old lady stick?"
