Wrong Move, Wrong Group

-JADE'S POV-

I make my way out to the parking lot where the music is still booming. Looking through the crowd I see Daniel has found Cat once again and they're standing next to the table with snacks and drinks.

Somewhere further near the podium, I spot Beck talking to André, both of them taking a break from DJ'ing, I suppose.

I push my way through the throng of people until I reach Beck and André. They both look up as I approach, a mix of curiosity and concern on their faces.

"Hey babe, what's up?" Beck asks, noticing my serious expression.

I pull them aside, lowering my voice so no one else can hear. "We have a problem."

"What's going on?" André asks suspiciously

"Listen, I can't explain the whole thing now, but I need you guys' help. We need to get Daniel alone somewhere."

Beck's eyes narrow. "Why? What did he do?"

I glance around to make sure no one's listening. "Okay short version then." I say a little irritably. "He cornered Vega inside and was really aggressive. She's shaken up. We need to make sure he doesn't do it again to anyone else. I have a plan but we need to get Cat away from him, then he will have a special surprise waiting." I smirk, feeling content and confident with my own plan.

André's eyes widen with concern. "Alright, what's the plan?"

I take a deep breath. "We need to create a distraction. André, you and Beck strike up a conversation with Daniel, that way I can get Cat away from him without him seeing me. When he walks away because of a text, follow him. I'll be there."

Beck nods, his jaw set. "Okay, let's do this."

André and Beck head over to Daniel, engaging him in a conversation. I watch from a distance as they work to keep his attention. Meanwhile, I make my way over to Cat.

"Hey Cat." I say, trying to sound casual. "Can you help me with something real quick?"

Cat looks at me curiously but nods. "Sure, Jadey. What's up?" She giggles.

I lead her away from the crowd, ensuring Daniel doesn't notice. "I just found a cotton candy machine in the Black Box and need some help setting it up." I improvise, glancing back to see if André and Beck are still keeping Daniel busy.

"Oh yeeey! I love cotton candy! Let's go." She tugs on my arm, her excitement making it easier to keep her distracted.

We make our way towards the Black Box, pushing the doors open and revealing the Vega sisters sitting in the chairs.

"Omg Tori, Trina are you also here for the cotton candy machine!? I love cotton candy! One time my brother go—" Cat exclaims when she sees them.

Tori gives me a questioning look, clearly confused. I sigh cutting cat off. "Sorry Cat, there is no cotton candy machine."

"But you said—"

"I know what I said, but you have to listen to me carefully, okay?" I tell Cat.

She picks up on my serious tone. "Kay, kay." she breathes, her playful demeanor dropping.

"We brought you here because we need to talk about Daniel." I say, glancing at Tori to see if she's okay with talking about it.

Cat's eyes widen, and she frowns. "What about Daniel?"

"Cat, there are some things you need to know," I begin gently. "He hasn't been honest with you, and he's done some pretty awful things to Tori, and maybe even to others."
