Deserts Blazing Storm {Ch.2}

She then said "Come along, night is quite dangerous if you're alone, we haven't had reports of people missing for some months ago for staying in the night but its still dangerous."

Novi looked at her and asked "Why is the night so harmful, isn't it a nice cold breeze out there?"

She sighed

They walked towards the inn where they got drinks and a bit of food for the night.

The cold breeze is passing... Seems normal.

As the silence continued Novi asked as he broke the ice.

 "So? What is your name?"

She said "Alice"

"Alice is it then... Well we are travelers and we don't not know much about this place..."

Alice replied "For a human, you look really healthy, strange..."

"Huh?"

"Don't worry... Anyway, uh... have you heard about the news?

Novi confused said "No..?"

Alice explained  "Well, it's a drama and a political debate since the leader of wolf nation adopted a child, and it's a human."

Novi said "Is there something wrong for being a human?"

"Well you normally have lower status for being so weak and become a slave." Alice said

"The kid is named uhm.. Xamx", Alice said "to be honest I never heard a name like that-."

She quickly got surprised as Espinosa started to grab his head in pain, it quickly stopped.

Novi sighed "It's better if we sleep soon, I think he is I'll or something."

Espinosa was still recovering, taking a breather and holding his head as he coughed.

Alice said "We could still talk about it."

"No, I just have a bad feeling of that name, not that I heard it before but my gut tells me otherwise." Novi said

Alice said "Okay, fine if that is your decision then we'll go with it."

"Go sleep, upstairs we have free rooms ready for you two guys."

Novi said "Thanks ma'am..."

Novi grabbed Espinosa's arm and helped him stand to walk towards the room and take a goodnight sleep.

{Day 2}

Novi would wake up first seeing the light of day struck his face.

Novi yawned and said "It's a new day..."

He saw that his new friend was still sleeping, so he slowly got up from bed and headed down stairs, where Alice would be cleaning cups and getting ready for the day.

Alice said "Good morning."

Alice said not even gazing up to see him in the eyes as she cleaned and washed dishes.

Novi said "Good morning, uhm do you know where any shower is to clean up? Anywhere?"

"Well yes, water here in the desert is quite limited actually sometimes but he has a local water house in this village." Alice said

Novi asked "Oh! Could you tell me where?"

Alice said "Of course."

"Right next to his motel you can see it, with a sign."

Espinosa slowly walked down stairs, and it seemed he got up too.

"Let's go, Espinosa." Novi said

As they both walk to the water house they noticed something in particular different from their worlds previous water houses or baths, there is no gender divide, to save up water.

Espinosa, already sleepy from waking up, just looks with surprise at the sign that reads that.

Espinosa said "There is no way, a Unisex water house?"

Novi said "One way to find out. It won't be a problem if you just ignore it and wash up quickly."

"I Already love this place, heh." Espinosa said

He said with a smirk.

Novi said "Ugh... Come on."

They both entered and decided that they needed to do this quickly and not that much attention, but obviously they are humans in a place they shouldn't be so maybe it won't be that easy.

Both began to clean themselves, with embarrassment since well privacy was key, but they had to get clean so they don't get Ill and get worse health.

Women giggled their gaze as a hungry predator seeing vulnerable men.

"Do you need help?"

One of them said with hidden intentions but Novi didn't let Espinosa speak as he felt something in his inner self that drew him away from that question, a gut feeling telling him is the best choice to ignore them.

Novi said "No, my buddy is fine washing himself, he is just new to his types of bathrooms." 

Novi tried to act normal but he felt as their gaze got sharper but they just continued with their business.

Espinosa went to the changing room and banged his fist in the wall as he felt in his thoughts, messing with him for the day, a feeling.

Espinosa said "Novi..."

Novi said "Oh? Yeah?"

"Do you want to talk about what happened back there..-"

Espinosa interrupted him "No, it's something else."

"That boy... Xamx right?..."

Novi said "What about him?"

"I felt a connection when she mentioned that name, we need to investigate him and find him." Espinosa said "All this world is just so strange and weird, we are not from here clearly and maybe... just maybe... he is connected somehow to our past."

Novi replied "The name sounds strangely familiar but I can't remember anything about it."

They got prepared as they got their clothes back on and moved on and out of the water house.

Novi said "But are you sure?"

"I'm sure." Espinosa said

Espinosa and Novi walked around town, Axolotl looked at Espinosa who was thinking of something.

Novi said "What are you thinking about?"

 "I have some options." Espinosa said

Novi said "What do you mean?.."

Espinosa said "This world and place is just not for us, I feel that we are too weak, we don't know a lot about it and if we want to thrive here then we need to know about this place and its culture and maybe gain some friends along the way."

"Second, to find why we are here and why we can't remember anything."

Eduardo hesitated and looked nervous but Espinosa's eyes full of hope gave him the encouragement to say...

Novi said "Of course. Let's do this."

They continued to walk around and arrived at the hotel at night time for their long talk and day.

Heading to their room they slept to wake up the next morning.
