Deserts Blazing Storm {Ch.3}

{Day 3}

Novi woke up early and Espinosa too but he was already in the lead, so he went down to the inn to say good morning to their new friend Alice.

Novi looked and didn't see her, it was strangely quiet.

Espinosa walked behind Novi thinking he saw her or something.

Espinosa said "Excuse me, Can we...-"

He stopped his question as he saw there was no one there, he sniffed something strange.

"Smells worse, did something burn or rot? I knew there was food in here but maybe they messed up in the kitchen heh."

"Is that like some food from this town or something?"

Novi said "If it is then I won't consider it happening it almost smells rotten like you said."

"It's grotesque."

"Yeah no shit." Espinosa said

Espinosa said "Look man, maybe... we could go and steal some food from the old gramps in the food cart across the village."

Novi said "What?!"

Novi said "What if they catch us?"

Espinosa said "I won't matter, we will leave when the sun goes down anyway!"

Novi said "Fine! You are crazy but who knows when she is going to come back."

"Don't worry!" Espinosa exclaimed

Novi said "So what? Are we going to just steal it up without a plan?"

Espinosa said "Let's improvise."

Both of them went out to the food cart and there was no one there, it seemed like they abandoned it.

Novi said confused "The owner must be doing something at this time of the day."

Espinosa said "Now that you mention it, there are less people in the pathways and buildings, they must have celebrations or jobs to do."

Espinosa said  "THEN WE SHALL HAVE A FEAST!"

He was so happy...!

Novi said "Hey! Be quiet... Why is this the only option we have...."

Espinosa and Novi grabbed the food and began eating until sunset almost midnight.

It seems like after not having good meals made them incredibly hungry, so blinded by hunger, time passed fast, not even the owner came back, lucky.

Night was approaching and their guts felt odd... something was wrong.

Espinosa said "I say we leave this place..."

Espinosa stopped walking towards the motel.

Novi said "What."

Espinosa said "I want to explore this world and with the food maybe we can leave this awful desert!"

Espinosa said "Maybe...."

Novi said "Stop saying nonsense for a day and let's go to the motel and we will talk about this tomorrow."

As they both stepped closer they saw something in the entrance of the motel, something laying on the floor... someone?

They got closer.

Novi said "Alice?..."

Espinosa said "What Ha- HOLY! My god... I think I might throw up..."

It was Alice's body teared apart by someone or something...

Espinosa looked around and tried not to panic

Espinosa said "Novi we need to get out of here, someone will accuse us of murder if we stay here."

Novi said "Wha.. What..."

Espinosa grabbed his hand and began to run towards a small public horse stable they saw in their small exploration while being in this small desert village.
