Deserts Blazing Storm {Ch.4}

Novi said "Stop..."

Espinosa confused said "What?!"

Novi said whispering "Don't scream."

Espinosa was confused and thought that he was playing a joke on him.

Novi said "What is that..."

As Espinosa looks slowly to the direction of the supposed thing that is making Novi nervous... there it was, made him even more sick but scared, he felt like the whole place they were living was in danger.

Novi said "Looks like a monster, kind of a spider, with black flesh... It's big, I don't think it can see us..."

Espinosa said whispering "How?"

Novi said "Well, I think we are a bit in the open right now. I think It would have seen us a second ago."

"Do you think that thing killed her?"

Espinosa said "I don't know man, I feel anxious and I want to get the hell out of here."

Both of them walked slowly towards the horse stable and could see a horse already.

The monster slowly walked around trying to hear its next prey, it heard them but now its not sure where they are so it slowly walks trying to see if it hears another meal.

They felt how their heartbeat was getting faster and the only sound they heard.

Novi slowly walked in the sandstone trail, each step with care, even touching the fur of the horse calmed him down as he tried to hop in and ride it to leave the area.

Espinosa mounted the horse and wasted no time in hitting the horse back with his hand really hard with a loud.

Espinosa exclaimed "Let's get out of here!"

The horse immediately started to gallop and go away from the village but that just made them the next target.

The monster's head twisted towards them and began to run and rush at them screeching loudly through the deserts calm night, a nightmare is coming for them.

Novi screamed "Oh god! What do we do?!"

Espinosa exclaimed "Just!- Just continue going!"

Espinosa tried to make the horse go faster, but it was getting more tired.

The creature was going to catch up.

Novi exclaimed "Forget it! Let's try to run by ourselves!"

Everything came to a halt as the creature pierced the horse and ate it, both of them got launched by the halt of the horse, luckily the creature ignored them for now.

Both of them ran and ran until they grew tired themselves, they began to see vegetation, little plants growing in sandstone, they were getting closer to some plains.

Novi saw this as a hopeful scenario but Espinosa was still trying to get as far away and Novi followed.

It was cold tonight, all you could hear was the wind passing by.

Espinosa said "This is... It's horrible."

They kept walking, panting and sweating but then they heard a voice, with an echo and maliciousness.

It sounded like someone familiar.

Novi said "Alice?.."

Espinosa quickly put his hand in Novi's mouth to stop him from talking.

Espinosa said whispering "This is not Alice."

They couldn't see where the thing was but it was following them again, hiding in the dark. There was not that much moonlight to even see further.

They both kept walking and saw a town in the distance and grass and fauna grew more here, they finally escaped from that desert.

Novi said "Yes! Finally..." Tears almost fell as he saw hope and a new beginning.

That excitement was a mistake as they heard something behind them. The monster was closing in them. They continued to walk and run, finally after some minutes of their adrenaline pumping and hearts racing they saw a big town in a plains.

They shook each other and hugged in excitement again, this was better than they expected, civilization again!

As they continued, Espinosa saw the monster looking at them from a distance and it didn't wait because it knew only one thing "Dinner is getting away", it was hungry for more so it was time to act and it did as it ran towards them

Espinosa said "L-Lets get out of here and fast."

Novi said "Already on it!"

They began to ran with all their remaining energy towards town, they only wanted to rest but now... Its about their life.
