Finally A Home {Ch.14}

{Day 20}

Meanwhile Novi was still in the town and he got to know it more, most of the people settled here are humans but there are some repression, not much like the other places they been in, he was walking around and trying to understand more about this place.

"This is amazing, I feel like if I0 just took a breath of fresh air after all what happened in the last days." Novi said, he kept walking and his eyes glanced to a bar in the street.

"A bar? Oh, lets check it out." He walked in the bar and it was full, music was being played and everyone was chatting with their friends and loved ones inside their having a great time.

He sat down in a stool and asked for a drink to the human bartender, the bartender quickly serve his drink and placed it in front of him. He drank it and didn't really liked it at first, alcohol was not something he has tried... 

Novi said "I will pay for it when I'm done" the bartender was confused but did not think much about this and accepted.

A old man chuckled, he was besides Novi and smirked. "Heh, You look really skinny for someone young as yourself and useless maybe you could get a job around here." 

Novi glanced at him and did not say nothing just a small sigh with a not so happy look. 

"What? Did I hurt your little heart, be stronger man." 

Novi sighed and said "Leave me alone, man..." and the old man replied "Seems like you've gone through some stuff".

"I'm surprised you are even alive. In that shape, you cant even fight a child". Novi looked at his drink, "Ain't I right? You can't even fight a child, look at you!" the old man then laughed.

Novi took a hold to his drink tightly and said "Maybe..... maybe your right. Lets see if this hurts your feelings".

Novi then moved his arm quickly and smashed the drink in the old mans head sending the man into the ground as he falls unconscious, everyone in the bar gasped in shock but someone the crowd yelled "Hell yeah!" and copied what Novi did to someone else and the bar erupted in chaos!

Novi tried to get out of there but someone grabbed him from his shirt and said  "I will help you with that" launching him into a window making it shatter as he fell outside, with the sounds of clings of the shards falling with him.

He slowly got up and he heard some people inside the bar trying to find him, probably that old man with some friends... He suddenly felt a touch of someone behind him trying to help him up "Come on get up, lets get out of here." Novi was confused and said "Wait- What-! Woah!" He got dragged and they began to run to a alley way...

Novi was catching his breath and looked a the man and asked "Hey, thank you but what is your name?"

"Kai." He said, he looked elegant with rings of gold, a watch of silver and a dark robe that showed he had power and riches maybe some connections.

Novi looked confused "Why?" he replied "Well, I value the safety of others... and because you ruined my date I was going to have there! In the BAR... Whatever, you looked strange to me. Your not from around here are you?"

"Uh... No, I am not from here... but I am a human." Novi replied 

Kai looked at him and analyzed his face "I will take your words as the up most truth for now, but your eyes shine yellow, not something a human would do normally but maybe its just magic or a curse... What is your name anyways?"

"Novi" he replied.

Kai sighed and said "Well, don't get in trouble, be safe." he began to walk away looking around but Novi yelled at him "Hey!.." Kai turned around, his eyes looked at him and he raised a eyebrow confused. "Hmm?" 

Novi then replied "I could use your help to get to know this region and the people, this is a nation of humans right?"

Kai sighed "I wish it was but its not, we are still slaves of other creatures, the only reason we have more liberty is because we make one of the best food in the world, we make monthly events for every species leaders to come and eat our food. Its not like we have choice, this town is one of the biggest, with many roads and trade routes its controlled by dragons and wolves."

Novi looked down at the ground after hearing this and thought for a second... and said "Maybe... Just maybe... there is a chance we could change things if we plan it correctly."

Kai replied "I fear that's something I cant risk, If you are asking what I think your going to try and do, then we will die if we try... I want my people to survive and live."

Novi clenched his fist and replied "Living? They clearly are surviving but they are not living life in constant fear and oppression." He offered his hand to Kai "Lets plan a up rising, it may sound like a horrible Idea but we together and with more allies could plan it perfectly."

Kai looked at the hand with doubts running in his head, but he shook Novi's hand saying "I will think about it but for now lets see what we can do for the next few days since we don't want to spark something really big because of the up coming festival is in a few days."

Novi chuckled "Of course....."
