She is beautiful.
FLEXIBLE.
AGILE.
She dances around.
Using ribbons.
Ropes.
Hoops.
Twisting.
Turning.
Bringing smiles and cheers.
Striking awe.
Hoping to cause a sense of surreal astonishment.
Contorting and breaking as she bends to your wills.
Dodges your comments.
Fractures under your pressures.
Did you consider that she isn't an acrobat by choice?
Have you wondered if people like you forced her to learn how to dodge
To withstand
Your comments, your questions, your laughter, your gazes.
Next time think about how she feels.
Others say many words.
But why is she a failure because others claim it?
Why can't her contortions speak for themselves?
Why do you refuse to accept her talents?
Why can't she make you believe in her skills?
She won't be enough for anyone until she breaks.
And even then you'll just talk about her broken-ness.
