It's been a couple of weeks since the friendship between Taehyung and Jungkook started growing.
Now, it's safe to say that Jungkook is closer to Taehyung, than with Jimin and the group, and for Taehyung, Jungkook is the closest to a close friend.
Something else shifted in Jungkook as well. He started noticing Taehyung a little more and not just in friendly way. He started noticing how every time Taehyung would grin widely at his lame silly jokes, his heart would flutter, but at the same time if Taehyung would smile a same way at some other person, he would feel something weird and it wasn't a good weird.
Just like right now, Taehyung dropped by the basketball court to hand over some electrolytes to Yoongi because the heat was too strong and two people has already fainted. And since Taehyung's practice was cancelled for a week, he just sat on the bench.
But now, he was surrounded by three of Jungkook's team members. Jay, Eunwoo and Mingyu.
Mingyu and Eunwoo are the juniors who just recently joined, and both are from Sociology department. That doesn't irks Jungkook though. He knows Taehyung is very popular and have people wrapped around his pinky.
It's Taehyung's pink cheeks and cute grin that's directed towards Jay. Taehyung looks so flustered and the way Jay is chuckling, he can tell it was a bold flirty remark.
Don't get Jungkook wrong. He knows Jay is a great guy, but why does he have to make Taehyung blush?
While Jungkook was just observing the duo as he sips on the lime flavoured energy drink, someone sits besides him and grabs his attention. It's none other than Yoongi. And it looks like his eyes are on the duo as well.
"They dated for a couple of months in high school. But don't worry, when they understood it wasn't working out, they broke it off. So, you don't have to worry about anything." Yoongi says, taking Jungkook's can and sipping the drink from it.
And Jungkook? He's just looking at Yoongi with wide does eyes.
"Umm w-why would I worry? Hah, it's not like I'm interested in their love life." Jungkook nervously chuckles out.
"Your eyes says otherwise. I've been noticing you from the start, and at the beginning I could feel the dislike you had for my brother and I, but now I just see the opposite. You look at Taehyung with those big eyes and a whipped smile. So, don't give me that bullshit. Although, I would have to say that my brother isn't someone who can easily fall for someone else. You've to work hard to get your feelings reciprocated, kid. I'm rooting for you!" With that Yoongi gets up and started walking towards the opposite side of the court where Taehyung is sitting.
Jungkook is just left behind with a bundle of thoughts. What feelings were Yoongi talking about? Feelings towards Taehyung? No, it's not possible. They're just friends. Yes, just friends. As much as he's trying to stop his thoughts, he just can't stop them. He can't focus on the match anymore and he knows he won't be able to stop thinking about whatever feelings Yoongi told him about until he figures it all out.

Taehyung walks upto Jungkook when he sees the other lost in his thoughts. They're now in the library, studying for a class test they have in half an hour. Most of the business students are occupying half of the chairs and scrolling through their notes, while Jungkook just looks lost.
Now, Taehyung knows that Jungkook has this weird habit of spacing out, he does that a lot and always looks adorable, but now his friend just looks lost. Even Jimin reading his notes a little loudly also isn't bothering him. Strange.
"Hey!" Taehyung whisper yells, but also smacks the back of Jungkook's head lightly, gaining the other's attention.
"Ouch! Why would you do that?" Jungkook questions a little too loudly, gaining everyone's attention on him.
"Shush! It's a library." Taehyung whispers, nd Jungkook rolls his eyes at the answer.
"So, what were you thinking about?"
"You" Jungkook answers without giving much thoughts to it. But as soon as he realized what he just said, his eyes widen.
"I- oh um I mean I was thinking about the match and- um and that if you would come to watch us. Yeah...that" Jungkook hurriedly explains with whatever explanation that came to his mind, and surprisingly Taehyung believes him.
"Oh that! Yeah, I'll watch it, or else Yoongi would not leave me alive. And, Jay hyung just asked me to wear his jersey nd cheer for them-"
"Uhm why don't you wear my jersey instead?" Jungkook asked hurriedly yet again nd regrets his words right after.
"I mean, I'm new nd I wouldn't have many people cheering on me, so..."
"Okay! I'll wear your jersey, but...I need the original one. I don't like to buy the weird ones from University shop." Taehyung says with a smug smile.
"That's okay! I've extra."
"Great! Your cheerleader will be at his service, sir."
