"Kook, how was your first day at the University? Was everyone nice to you? Did anyone bully you? Did you get into a fight? Did the professors scold you? Di-"
"Hold on, hold on Yuna, let me speak." Jungkook chuckled as he saw his sister pouting at the screen.
"Sorry, I'm just excited to hear about your day and how people are treating you there." Yuna said in a small pout.
"I know. And to answer your question, I think I made a new friend, in fact I think I made four new friends? No one bullied me and neither did I get into any fight. Everyone is quite civil I would say and it's just filled with rich people and that's all. So, you can say my day was much better than I expected." Jungkook said as he walked out of his apartment.
"That's good, atleast they're not doing anything to you."
"No one can do anything to me, Yuna." Jungkook chuckled out.
"Whatever! Where are you going by the way?" Yuna said as she noticed Jungkook was outside and walking on the sidewalk.
"I actually took a part time job in a small café just by my apartment and I'm going there for work. It's such a beautiful and cozy café, I swear if you were here, you would've loved it. The place isn't a noisy place, neither it is located in a crowded area as well, still it's always busy." Jungkook explained as he ducked into a small alleyway.
"Oh, but you said you'll just focus on your studies, so why take up a job now?" Yuna frowned at her brother.
"Yuna, you know right, uncle and aunt are paying for the rent? I don't want to burden them much, they're looking after you as well and I want to pay the rent by myself. The monthly stipen I get from the scholarship is enough for me to use for a month and pay half of the rent and then also I would be able to save up. I just want to pay the whole rent and don't want to burden imo and samchon anymore." Jungkook said with a small smile, hoping his sister would understand him.
"Ah that makes sense, just don't overwork and talk to samchon about this as well." Yuna said with a bright smile, as if proud of his brother.
"Alright, I'm at the café so I'll hang up now, will text you after I get off work. Bye, take care and study well." Jungkook said as he hung up, but not before listening to his sister muttering a small "bye"."Hello, good evening. I'm Jeon Jungkook and I'm the new employee as well. Uh may I talk to Mrs. Ahn?" Jungkook asked the male standing behind the counter.
The guy behind the counter raised his head to look at the person only to halt his movements.
"Hey, Jungkook! Nice to see you again." The guy said, and even though he was wearing a white mask, Jungkook could still tell that the other was genuinely happy to see him.
"Oh hi, Hoseok. It's nice to see you too." Jungkook bowed lightly with a small smile and Hoseok nodded at him.
"Oh wait here for a minute, I'll call Mrs. Ahn for you." Hoseok said as he walked towards the green door attached to the wall behind Hoseok."Oh hello, young man. I hope you didn't have any problem getting here?" The old lady, probably in her mid 50s asked Jungkook as soon as she walked out of the same door.
"No, I didn't have any problem, thank you for asking." Jungkook bowed in front of her as a sign of respect and the old lady, Mrs. Ahn patted his head.
"Alright, you can start working now, I'll get you your mask and apron. Also, since you and Hoseok are university students, you can bring your books if you have to study. The café usually isn't busy during this time so I think you may get some time in between to look through your notes, we close at 10 by the way." The lady explained as she walked into the same room and handed over the apron and mask to Jungkook.
Jungkook looked around the room, it was where everything is prepared, that's what Jungkook understood.
"This is where my daughter and I work. We usually prepare the baked items here that's why the sweet aroma." The lady explained with a soft smile.
"Oh okay, thank you, I'll go to the counter now." Jungkook bowed at her for one last time and went back to the counter.
