We hung out with the gang

Twobit and dally weren't there.

They burst in the door laughing there asses off

"What's happening?" Darry asked
"I-" was all Twobit could say

They laughed and we all stood there

"There's a rumble tonight!" Dally said
"For what?" Darry asked pissed
"We slashed a socs tires."
"A rumble for that? Jeez guys" Darry said pinching the bridge of his nose

"You guys think you're so funny huh?" Darry said
"Very much!" Twobit said

Two bit gasped
"The youngsters first rumble!" He said hitting pony and my back
"Oh yeah!" Soda said
"I don't know guys.. you there there ready?"  Steve said
"I say no." Darry said
"We ain't gonna get hurt!" Pony said
"I know I just ain't ready." He then said
"Oh it's alright Darry me and Johnny can do it!"
"Can yall handle the prep!"
"No! There skipping your prep."
"What's twobits prep?" I asked
"I get high before every rumble. Gets the blood flowing."
"Oh." Pony said

"And you guys arnt getting high." Darry said to me, soda, Johnny and Steve
"I am!" Dally said
"Can we?" Steve asked for him a soda
"No!"
"Oh come on!"
"Not till you're 18."
"I am 18!" Steve said
"Well soda ain't."
"Fine." He said pissed

"Darry what's your rumble preparations?"
"Nothing."
"He's lying!" Dally said
"Darry puts on a tight black shirt, and takes a swig of scotch! and that's it. He used to get high with me and twobit but he hasn't for the past few."
"Really? You drink before a rumble?" Pony asked
"Yeah." Darry said annoyed

A while pasted and Darry walked back in with dally and a case of beer
"Oh come on Darry! Please once, it's a stupid rumble anyways who cares!"
"I do, I don't wanna get all strung."
"You won't! Just a bit before the rumble man! It may knock the rust off your bolts?"
"You think I'm to old or something?"
Darry got in Dallys face in a joking manner
"No im saying you used to be funner"
"FINE. THIS ONCE."
Dally and Twobit cheered

"What are yall fighting about?" Steve asked
"NOTHING."  Darry snapped
"Jeez."
"Alright we might need to start early if you gonna be like this-"
"I can't believe you guys. Getting high before rumbles. Still?"
"It's fun! Makes it not feel real."
"We ain't doing nothing wild." Darry said
"Yeah nothing to crazy."

"Can we have a beer??" Pony asked
"No!" Darry said
"Oh come on! You drank before your first rumble!" Dally said
"Your just airing out everything tonight arnt you."
"Yes sir!"
"I don't know!" Darry said

Steve grabbed one and slammed it on the table to open it

He took and drink and handed it to soda who also took a drink.

"Yuck." Soda said
"You're weird."
"No you're weird. You like beer!"
"And you like di-"
Soda hit the back of Steve's head

Dally Darry and twobit left us for a while

They came back a while later

Nothing was different until 20 minutes after they came back
10 before the rumble.

Darry was staring at the fridge

"Jesus what did you do to him?" Soda asked

Dally and twobit just laughed and laughed

"Bro I swear it's making a different sound." Darry said
"It's not." Soda said
"Where's my tools? I gotta find it. There's a squirrel in there"
"No there isn't."  He said again

"Let's go before he takes the fridge apart" Steve said

Dally and two bit laughed and laughed

Steve drove us

We got there and pony pulled me aside

He kissed me holding my waist.

"I love you." He said
"I love you too." I said smiling
"Let's go beat some ass."

I winked and we went off

We got in line up

Darry in the middle stoned.

I took a smaller guy

It started and I tackled him

I tripped him and punched him down

I was ripped off of him and punched in the nose by a socs

I punched him in the eye and kicked my knee up hitting him in the nuts

Pony cheered

He was punching the lights out of this guy

I rolled in the dirt punching and jabbing socs

I punched one in the teeth. Made my knuckles bleed

They retreated and we all yelled and cheered

I was caught off guard by pony rushing hug me

"That was great Johnny!"
"Thank you kind sir!"

We all went home and cleaned up

My knuckles hurt.

My nose was bleeding and lip

Steve's was broken.

Soda had a black eye

Pony had a busted lip and eye

Looked hot.

Darry had a busted lip and cheek

Dally had a bloody nose and messed up lip

Twobit had bloody knuckles and a black eye.

Pony took me aside again and kissed me

I could taste blood.

Yucky.

And cigarettes.

Shockley pony was the heaviest smoker of us.

Darry was loopy for a while. Dally and twobit were too.
