I hate school (math specifically), and now we have to go INSIDE of another school. I mean, I've been to Chaffey, and it's absolutely gorgeous. (Fun fact; I met a sweet guy there too, as of May 5th, 2024) Charlotte and I walked to the front of the schoolhouse, staying quiet. "Okay, are you two ready?" the green Huggy asked.
"Yeah," Charlotte said.
"No," I said.
"Great! Walk on in," PJ said.
Way to ignore me. ... Assholes... I opened the doors and we walked in, being met with darkness. I turned the flashlight on, looking around at our surroundings. "Alright then... just go wherever it seems safe..." Charlotte said.
I nodded, following her into a classroom. We opened the door and saw posters on the verge of falling, disheveled floors, and a fake sky outside. Charlotte held the Playtime phone, listening to Ollie as he said for us to make this quick. We had to turn the generator on, leave, and plug the school's power into the center. "Listen here, girls. I remember coming here when I was human. And trust me; that lady scares the shit out of me. I suggest–"
His voice became static before it cut off entirely. "Bunzo?" I asked, gently tapping my earpiece.
Nothing. "What lady??" I exclaimed.
"Service must suck down here. What does your phone say?" Charlotte questioned.
I took my phone out of my pocket and checked, seeing that it said there was no service. Well, crap. All of a sudden, a school bell rang as a voice came onto the intercom. "This is Miss Delight speaking. Please excuse the interruption. Students- remain in your seat until the bell has rung. And no going in the halls without a hall pass!"
The intercom turned off. I looked at the piano seat and saw a slip of paper. I took it, folded it, and put it in my pocket. When we left, I saw a green outlet. There had been one in the classroom, so I aimed my green hand and transferred the power to the outlet, watching as the gate lifted. I grabbed Charlotte as we ran under, hearing it close behind us. Now we had to walk through an area with dead toys, open lockers, and trash on the floor. "Ugh... This isn't like my school," Charlotte said.
"Same here. The people at my school do that kind of stuff outside," I added.
We'd taken our earpieces out for now, putting them in our pockets, and for me, it was my right pocket. My left back pocket had that slip of paper we found. I saw another door, and opened it to see a classroom with a TV, and under that was a battery. Adjacent to it was a paper with blood on it. I picked it up, putting it in my back pocket. Charlotte took the battery and went to plug it in, which if we got another one, would power a green triangular outlet. As we exited the janitor's office, I heard something. I grabbed Charlotte and turned the flashlight off as we ducked under a table. There, we saw someone walking by, and she looked like a teacher. We stayed silent and waited until her sounds couldn't be heard. Crawling out from under the table, I exhaled. "What was that??" I whispered.
"I don't know! What if... What if that thing walking by was the lady Bunzo told us that scared the crap out of him as a human?" Charlotte questioned.
Both of us shrugged our shoulders and continued walking, going into some kind of computer lab. That's when the intercom came back on. "Wait– I recognize you..." Miss Delight said.
"NO THE FUCK YOU DO NOT!!!" I yelled.
We're just two idiotic sisters wandering through a school that, thankfully, we don't go to. "Oh, really? You used to work here!" Miss Delight replied.
"WE DIDN'T!!!" Charlotte exclaimed.
An irritated groan came from the intercom as Miss Delight asked how we were alive. Gee, I don't know. We survived getting our heads smashed between cymbals, getting our necks snapped by Huggies, mauled on by a pug-a-pillar, killed by a pink lady, a train crash, and a trash compactor. And you're JUST asking how we're still alive?? ... Logic and pure luck. "Barb says you're looking for your coworkers. Catnap wouldn't like that you're here..." Miss Delight said.
