It was finally time. Jake was sitting in the car beside Leo who was seemingly pretty excited about Jake going to Korea, he couldn't stop blabbering about getting the chance to not only meet a famous singer but also his soulmate. Jake was grateful but the thought of leaving his loved ones behind really hurt him. Moving to another country would make it difficult to settle and Jake worried he wouldn't be able to fit in, however, he had his uncle and some other friends by his side who were more than happy to hear about his decision. At the airport, Jake hugged his family and then Leo, who was close to tearing up.
Jake smiled sadly at him and promised to bring him back a couple of albums signed by Heeseung, if he even met him that is. "Send me a picture as soon as you start breathing the same air as him." Jake laughed as he hugged Leo one last time and wished him luck on his music career before turning towards the checking-in section, waving everyone goodbye. As the boy settled into his seat on the plane, a sense of tranquillity washed over him. The soft click of seatbelts being fastened echoed throughout the cabin, somewhat soothing his troubled mind. Outside the window, fluffy clouds floated peacefully in the endless expanse of sky, their cotton-like texture calming his racing thoughts.
The gentle hum of the engines provided a rhythmic backdrop to his contemplations as he gazed out at the vastness below. However, amidst this serene ambience, an undercurrent of hurt lingered within him. He was away from his family and friends now. Jake was terrified of what was yet to come. But Jake brushed it all off and listened to some music all the way to Korea, he even listened to Heeseung whose voice made his heart flutter and that kept him going. At the end of the flight, once Jake was off the plane, he met his uncle who welcomed him with open arms as well as some of his friends he had made when his parents took him to Korea every time they travelled. "Ni-ki has grown taller than you Jake, that's a shame."
Jay giggled but immediately fell silent when Jungwon hit him on the head with the bouquet he was holding. "He just came and you are already tormenting him, can you be nicer for fucks sake, Jay?" Jungwon rolled his eyes before pulling his Hyung into a tight hug, they all missed him, and Jake had indeed been gone for a while. After a moment of reunion, they finally got into his uncle's mini-van and decided to head to lunch at Jake's favourite place. In the restaurant, Jake relived a few memories he had made with his family and even ordered more for later. Watching Jay and Jungwon also made him feel at ease. But he did miss Leo, they would've loved having him around. But that was only one of the few problems Jake had to deal with and at that point, he knew he needed his friends' help and so he told them. He trusted them. And then with the friends he trusted, days turned into months of living in Korea.
