The day of the fan sign had finally arrived, Jake had dressed up to his best and so did the others. The boy was not only looking forward to meeting Heeseung but also to breaking the truth to him. Although a part of him felt worried, he knew for a fact that he could prove it. But what if Heeseung was too intimidating? And so, that question stayed stuck in his mind, suddenly regretting that he agreed to go. "Jake, do you want to be late? Get in!" Jay honked at Jake once again as he stuck his head out the window and waved at him. Without realizing it, Jake waved back and smiled which made everyone in the car chuckle. They just thought he was nervous however, Jake felt differently.
"We'll leave you behind if you don't get in here, dimwit!" Jake cringed and rushed to the car, apologizing quickly and greeting Sunghoon. Sunghoon smiled, a tint of red flushing his cheeks but Jake failed to notice. Jungwon watched the scene unfold and only sighed, saying nothing. As the crowd buzzed with anticipation, the dimly lit room became a theatre of nervous energy. At the edge stood Jake with his friends, his heart pounding in his chest, each beat resonating with the worry of finally meeting his soulmate. Clutching onto a crumpled album, he anxiously traced every word and note etched on its surface.
The air was thick with suspense as seconds stretched into eternity. His hands trembled uncontrollably; afraid that Heeseung may not like him. At this moment, he found himself battling a hurricane of emotions - fear and longing intertwining like vines around his fragile soul. The room was draped in loud chatter. The dim glow from the flickering lights highlighted Jake's weary face, etched with frustration and fatigue. Every chord of that haunting melody that Heeseung sang reverberated through his mind, piercing his soul with its relentless repetition. Through brimming eyes, he watched Heeseung jokingly ask every fan what song was playing in his head as he repeatedly went over the same one. A song Jake had never heard before. And so he looked it up. No results.
Heeseung had a plan. Each note strung together seemed to mock him, a cruel reminder of their persistent connection. He clenched his fists tightly, feeling the burden of inevitability pressing upon him until it weighed like lead upon his chest. Desperation mingled with irritation as he wrestled with this unbreakable bond, urging for relief from Heeseung's melodious torment that echoed relentlessly within the hollows of his being. He felt the need to slap Heeseung across the face and yell at him to make him stop, it was almost 2 hours of the same torment. After waiting for a long time, it was finally Jake's turn to meet Heeseung. As he walked closer to him and knelt bleakly to match his level, he could no longer bear it, the song in his head played louder, the tones got sharper and for a moment he shut his ears before silently shouting at him, "Can you shut up already!"
