The week goes by quickly as nothing interesting happens and you spend your time studying. However, one thing has changed slightly. You've befriended Sukuna. He was persistent in trying to hang out with you, and studying together is the best you two have done, but today, you're attending the football game with him and Nayeli.
"Things are good between you two?" You ask while folding some clothes.
Nayeli is also folding clothes. "Yeah. We're going on another date soon."
You nod, happy for Nayeli.
And there's a silence that lingers in the air for a bit, but then she stops and looks at you, dropping the shirt she was folding. "What happened with Satoru?"
Looking up, you meet her gaze. She seems concerned. You then take a deep breath, considering how much to reveal to Nayeli about what's happened with Satoru. Some things are just better left unsaid. "Uh...I wish I knew. But honestly, I think it's best we stay away from each other."
She takes notice of the sadness in your eyes before you look away, focusing on folding more clothes. But she doesn't want to push for anything. When you want to talk, you'll talk. Although she knows you never talk about any of your problems, a new fear suddenly develops. What if you feel like you can't talk to her? At some point in time, everyone has to vent, or things will just bubble up. "Just know that you can tell me anything. I know we're only just now getting closer, but I consider you my best friend..." Her voice is soft.
You smile softly while briefly sharing a look, touched by her words. Taking a moment to appreciate the genuine care she has for you, you set the clothes aside and turn to face. "Thank you."
"Of course." Nayeli smiles.

Staring out onto the field, you watch Satoru closely.
You're sitting at the bottom this time so that you guys could see the game better.
Despite the distance between you, his presence seemed to linger in the air, tugging at something deep within you.
Lost in thought, you haven't noticed that Nayeli and Sukuna are engaged in conversation about the game. Their voices act as a distant echo.
Satoru takes off his helmet and shakes his messy wet hair and he glances in your direction, his gaze locking with yours. He's the first one to break it, putting his helmet back on and getting into position.
The game progresses and the players move on the field. Number 1 throws the ball to number 30, and he catches it in his hand, holding it tightly and running through the opposing team, and then jumps onto the field, landing in the end zone. ending it with a touchdown.
Roars erupt around you, Nayeli standing proudly and clapping. "Go, Suguru!" He is number 30.
Somebody nudges you and you glance over, Sukuna leaning in. "Everything okay? You've been quiet."
"Yeah, I'm just really caught up in the game." You answer with a small smile.
The two best friends on the field chest bump, proud of their teamwork and how it scored a touchdown.
"Oh, its halftime. Do you want to go down there with me?" Nayeli asks you.
You nod, thankful to be able to move for the moment. "Are you coming with us?" You turn to Sukuna.
He shakes his head. "I'm going save our seats."
As you make your way down onto the field, Nayeli links her arm with yours. "They're playing a really good game tonight," Nayeli says.
"They played well last game as well. But I can see some improvement." You answer.
Reaching the sidelines, you watch as Suguru and Satoru approach both of you.
Those blue eyes of his remain fixed on you, you have to look away.
Nayeli's arm leaves yours and she steps forward, wrapping her arms around Suguru and congratulating him on the touchdown he made moments earlier.
"Why are you with him?" Satoru asks, staring a hole through you.
You look at him, eyes widened. "Sukuna?"
He doesn't say anything, his eyes still on you.
"I can do what I want."
Satoru's jaw clenches and his gaze darkens.
The soon-to-be couple takes notice of the tension between you and Satoru. Nayeli then speaks up. "Is everything okay?"
Without saying a word, Satoru backs up and then leaves the field, leaving the 3 of you standing there together, dumbfounded. You back away from them and head back to the bleachers to sit with Sukuna. Why does he care who you're with? It's none of his business at all, and it shouldn't matter to him.
"Everything all right?" Sukuna watches as you return, a concerned look washed over his face.
"Yeah." You let out a sigh while taking a seat.
Sukuna saw the interaction from afar, but he didn't bring it up at all.
Soon enough the game resumes, and you push all thoughts of Satoru out of your head and enjoy the rest of the game.
Nayeli is very much into the game, her eyes glowing every time Suguru makes a good play. You stand at her side, cheering him on each time the ball is passed to him.
"There's a party tonight, but it's not at the frat this time. Do you want to go?" Nayeli asks with her eyes on the field as the team huddles in for a meeting.
You glance at her. "Yeah, I'll go. Sukuna, are you going to join us?"
"I think I'm going to pass on that tonight. I have a test coming up that I need to study for." Sukuna lets out a breath.
Looking down at him, you nod before paying attention to the game again, your eyes landing on Number 1. Just as you go to look away, in one swift movement, he's moving through the players with determination and he reaches the end zone cockily, dropping the football and coming to a complete stop, yelling and slamming his fist on his chest.
And an unknown smile appears on your face.
