You're walking to your next class, which is your only class with Sukuna and you've debated on skipping so you don't have to be in his presence.

The thoughts of last night creep into your mind and a sudden smile appears on your face. After everything that happened, he stayed the night with you and this morning split ways before school so he could go to the frat house and change.

Catching you by surprise, somebody grabs hold of your wrist and pulls you into a closet.

Your smile grows wide. "What're you doing?"

"I was waiting for you to walk your happy ass down this hallway." He simply states, closing the space between you and cupping your cheeks as he leans in to kiss you passionately. It's warm and nice. You're comfortable with him, perhaps too comfortable.

His touch alone sends shivers down your spine.

"You're trouble." You pull away slightly, a grin playing on your lips.

Satoru laughs softly and he shakes his head. "Yeah, I am." And he's leaning in yet again for another kiss that will send your heart racing.

You're drawn to him despite knowing the trouble that comes with it. And for the moment, you're happy.

"Class...I have class." You pull away from him, placing a hand on his chest in an attempt to keep him at a certain distance.

His smile fades into a small frown. "My good girl..." He sighs and pulls away.

As he stands there, staring into your eyes, he can't help but think about how he'd ruin you. But it's not because he wants to, he just knows something will go wrong. Just from him being who he is and you being the good person you are — this is just momentary bliss.

"I'll see you later?" You back away toward the door, your eyes fixed on his.

"I'll see you later." He confirms, adjusting the hat on his head.

Just as you turn around and place your hand around the knob, he speaks up one last time before you go. "Also...we should keep this between us for now, okay?"

You stare into the wooden door and swallow the sudden lump in your throat. "Of course."

After that, you head into class and notice Sukuna waiting for you at the top where you two usually sit together. Walking up, you sit with him but don't say anything and instantly, he knows something is off with you.

"What's the matter?" Sukuna leans in, seemingly worried about you.

"Just feeling a bit sick today." You say and open up your bag, pulling out your notebook and placing it in front of you.

For the rest of the class, you don't speak to each other.

"After Halloween is over, I really need to focus on my classes. I've been so distracted recently." Nayeli lets out a breath as she sits at the dinner table.

"Tell me about it." You reply.

She stops for a moment and looks at you, a knowing look in her eyes. Suddenly, you feel a pang of guilt in the pit of your stomach. You know you can trust her enough for you to say something about Satoru, but you're worried she may say something to Suguru about it.

Satoru is right, though. It's better to keep things under wraps, in case all falls apart and it doesn't work out. It does suck a little though.

"Everything going okay with your classes?" Nayeli asks before taking the first bite of her food.

You nod, leaning back into the chair. "Yeah. You and Suguru still okay?"

"Yes. I'm very happy." She grins. "For the party tomorrow, we're going as Black Cat and Spider-Man."

"That's really good, Nayeli. I'm happy for you two." You say genuinely. She deserves it.

Nayeli wants to ask more but she decides against it, for the hundredth time. She wants you to be comfortable enough to bring it up on your own, as she has already made it known she will be here when you need her.

"How do you feel about Sukuna?" You suddenly ask.

She looks at you almost surprised. "Uh...well, he's nice. But he kind of pushes his way in, which is weird and I don't like it."

You nod in agreement. "There's just something off about him and I try to give him the benefit of the doubt but I think after the party I'm going to suggest its best were not friends anymore." Part of that reason is because of Satoru.

The conversation between you two doesn't last long before you retreat to your bedroom, putting a movie on to ease your mind while you finish up some homework for the night.

Your phone dings and you glance at it, seeing a text from Satoru. You stare at his name before deciding not to respond, not even bothering to read the message right now. For now, you want to focus on homework and get it done before the chaotic weekend arrives.

——

as of now, I have no schedule. I'll just update whenever I finish a chapter. the next one will be the Halloween party, so it'll be longer to make up for this shorter chapter.
