You stand in the unfamiliar house, checking out your surroundings as you watch people come in and out of the kitchen.
Nayeli is staring at the few bottles of alcohol just sitting there. "Well...I guess this is the best I can do for now." She picks up a bottle of the mango pineapple vodka, pouring some into a cup. "You want some of this?"
"Yeah, I'll try it." You nod, reaching a hand out as she slides a cup over to you, pouring some into your cup as well.
Suguru comes into the room, looking irritated. You glance at him as Nayeli approaches him with a worried look on her face. "What's wrong?"
"I think we should go soon." Is his response.
Somebody taps your shoulder and you turn around, coming face to face with a stranger with blond hair and green roots. "Hey, do you mind if I get some of that?" He asks.
You look down, realizing you're in the way of getting to the alcohol. "Yeah, sorry." You try to turn away so you can pay attention to what Nayeli and Suguru are talking about, but the stranger stops you.
"I've never seen you around before." He says, pouring some alcohol into his cup, and sharing a few glances with you.
"Yeah, I don't party much. I'm here with them." You turn around, pointing at the two—now three people behind you. Satoru is standing with them and he glances over, his eyes moving to the stranger standing with you.
He smiles. "Friends with Suguru and Satoru? I can understand being friends with Suguru...but Satoru is a different story. He gets a number 1 jersey and thinks he can do whatever he wants, pathetic. I'm Naoya by the way, number 42."
Just as you try to introduce yourself, you pause when you hear the sound of sirens approaching and panic sets in when you take notice of the police lights coming from outside of the house.
"Cops! Everybody out!" Somebody within the house shouts, warning everyone.
Naoya has vanished and you turn around, seeing Satoru whisper something to his best friend who then glances between you and Nayeli. Suguru nods his head, grabbing hold of Nayeli's hand.
"We're getting out of here," Satoru says to you and then leads the group to the back door, others also following closely behind so they don't get caught.
Suguru pushes the door open carefully and all of you shuffle outside into the cool air.
"Go with Satoru, okay? I'll meet you back at the dorm, it'll be easier for us to move if we split up." Nayeli says, sending you an apologetic look.
Your brows bunch together and before you can protest, you're yanked in the other direction. "Do you want to get caught or do you wanna get the fuck out of here?"
A sigh leaves your mouth and he grabs hold of your hand and the two of you begin running through the backyard together, the adrenaline pumping through your body.
"Stop!" A voice exclaims from behind but neither of you looks back, continuing to move.
Satoru glances back at you briefly. "There's a fence up ahead—we can jump it and get us back to the main road."
Sprinting toward the fence, Satoru let's go of your hand, jumping up onto the wooden fence, gripping it tightly, and throwing himself over it.
Your eyes widen, worried you won't be able to do it as effortlessly as he just did.
"There's a hole over here, just put your foot in it and lift yourself up and I'll help you." Satoru tries to help you.
Taking a deep breath you place your foot in the hole and lift yourself up, looking down at him as he watches you carefully as he positions himself beneath you to assist, but his efforts fail as you come crashing down on top of him.
You wince at impact and meet his eyes and for a moment, you lie there tangled together as you catch your breaths and suppress your laughter at the stupid situation you've both found yourselves in. You're sure he can feel your heart pounding in your chest.
You roll off him and land on the grass beside him, staring up at the night sky, the moon hanging low in the sky.
Satoru stands up, dusting himself off. As he looks off to the side, he takes notice of the large pool illuminated with red lights. "Well, would you look at that? I think we were meant to find this." He says.
Looking over, you then stand up, watching as Satoru approaches the pool. He then leans down, dipping his fingers into it and the water ripples from his touch. Glancing back at you, he smiles. "I think we should take a dip."
"Satoru, this is somebody's house. We should probably just go."
He's not surprised by your answer and he starts to pull his shirt off, throwing it off to the side. "Come on, live a little. Think of it as our reward for not getting busted by the cops—or I should say the reward for you not getting busted by the cops. I'm of age." As he faces you, he unbuckles his belt before leaning over and kicking his shoes off.
You look away from him, crossing your arms as you look at the house just a bit away from the pool. This is trespassing but you may never get the chance to do something so spontaneous again. You were just running from the cops and now you're standing in the backyard of somebody's house, debating if you want to get in or not.
Satoru is undressed and he's in his boxers before dipping into the pool.
Letting out a breath, you start to undress and Satoru smiles as he watches you.
He holds his hand out for you to take as you approach the pool and you lower yourself, taking a seat on the edge and dipping your legs in before allowing him to grab hold of your waist and pull you into the water.
His gaze locks with yours as you both float in the cool water, the red lights casting a warm glow on both of your features. The air is filled with unspoken words and shared adrenaline. His hand reaches out and he brushes a loose strand of hair away from your face.
"What're we doing, Satoru?" You ask quietly as he continues to hold you.
"I'm sorry for how I've been acting. When you told me that you're a virgin, I shouldn't have left like that, but I don't want to be responsible for taking something like that from you. It should be with somebody who cares for you."
You sigh and pull away from him, remembering what Sukuna had told you.
Satoru's head falls back and he stares up at the sky. "I'm not a good person. I have a lot of issues and I just don't need somebody depending on me. I don't expect anything from anybody and I don't owe anyone shit." His head falls forward, meeting your gaze. "But I needed to apologize. I just got carried away by lust. I don't know how I feel about you, or If I feel anything at all. I'm a mess."
His words hang in the air, mingling with the night breeze as you ponder his words in your heart.
"I think when you start to feel something that you're not used to feeling, you don't know how to act on it and it scares you. It's okay to feel those things and allow yourself to be vulnerable. You don't have to shut down and hide from it. You learn and grow from those feelings and become a better version of yourself." You say simply. "At the end of the day, we're still floating on a rock in space."
His eyes widen slightly and you look away.
The night is still, the only sound being the ripple of the water in the pool.
"I'm getting kind of cold, I think we should go. Nayeli is probably worried anyway." Swimming over to the concrete, you lift yourself up and climb out of the pool, leaving Satoru in the water alone.
He follows shortly after. "Yeah, let's go."
