Day 2

The surviving Helldivers dug in once more and this time it's for the last time

They called in every Sentry they can get before the Bots arrived

The Eagles were called off with how heavy the Anti Air was present near the area and after the Friendly Fire Incident the Divers learned to make sure their numbers and coordinates were correct

The Divers got a reprieve as the Bots took time to gather their forces

Early Morning

The Divers were scrounging up anything from their supplies to eat and drink

Sun was done from patrol as he meets the Sgt. Major

Sun: Good Morning Sir.

Cardin: how do you know what's good in this oum damn morning.

Sun just shrugged it off knowing Cardin from the start as he always tried to make small talk to cut the tension

He returned to his squad with Neptune on the front

Jaune: head count.

Cardin: we lost at least 10 men in the Cave and 7 men during the Extraction and 12 men during the Fall Back.

Jaune looks down as he closes his eyes

Cardin: were down to 14 men sir and 3 of them are wounded.

Jaune: we'll mourn later while the wounded can still fight.

But the peace was cut short as they heard explosions and everyone got into their fox holes or dived into the bushes

Neptune: they're back sir!

He opens fire on a Bot Patrol who strayed close to their lines

The Sentries did the work and helped reduce the number of advancing bots

The Divers were spread thin as they had to scatter their lines to prevent any enemy artillery from taking them out but a new problem arose

Cardin approached Jaune as he reports

Cardin: sir the bots cut off Sun and Neptune's squad from us.

He looks to that direction as he hails them

Jaune: Sun! Neptune! Do you read over!?

*Static*

Sun: we're here over!

He replies as he picked up a Liberator Penetrator as he ran out of Machine Gun Ammo

Jaune: we're trying to link up the scattered divers, can you hold?

Sun: We'll give them Hell sir!

He cuts off as they continue firing

Jaune was looking to all the fire fights all around the forest hoping the Divers can regroup

3 Squads cut off

The Enemy was adapting as they are now using Mortars and Anti Air in coordination with Armor and Walkers

Helldiver 1: sir we got more Heavies trying to breakthrough!

Jaune: Displace!

He picks up an Auto-Cannon until Cardin took it from him who was followed by a Helldiver who took the Backpack

Cardin: we got this! You displace sir!

Jaune: you'll stay close behind us!

Cardin: as soon as we're in business!
