It was the start of June 2006 and the Arctic Monkeys were about to return to their last leg of their tour for their debut album for a month and a half.

The band, Clarabella and Katie all agreed to go out for drinks the night before they left.
Clarabella and Katie decided to get ready together at Katie's house.

Katie looked at Clarabella with a curious look on her face until she finally decided to speak.
"So, what's the deal between you and Alex?" Katie asked while winking at Clara at the same time as filling in her eyebrows.

Clara looked at Katie quizzically, "What do you mean?"

"Oh come on! Everyone knows there is something going on between you two." Katie turned her full body to look at Clara.

Clarabella has been trying to convince herself that she hadn't any feelings for Alex, despite the feeling she got whenever he said her name or talked to her, hugged her or even being in the same room as her.

"Honestly Katie, we are only friends. I swear." Clarabella assured.
Katie just gave Clarabella a funny look but changed the topic since she knew it was going nowhere.

"By the way, Jamie and Matt are picking us up. We will meet Nick and Alex there." Katie said, changing the topic.

"Is Jamie not drinking? I thought we were all gonna get pissed tonight." Clara laughed.

"No, I think he is getting a taxi home and picking his car up in the morning." Katie smiled.

Right on cue there was beeps coming from outside Katie's house. They both looked out of  the window to see Jamie and Matt in Jamie's car and they waved at them to let them know they were coming.

The second Katie and Clara got in the car, Matt threw two cans of beer at them. Clara looked at Jamie for confirmation but he didn't seem to care that they were drinking in his car so she opened up the can and started drinking it.

They blasted music the whole way there, Katie didn't let Jamie pick any of the songs and instead picked the music herself. Clara and Katie started singing along to 'Katy on a Mission' which seemed to be one of their favourites.

Matt, Katie, Jamie and Clara walked into the pub they all decided that they were going to meet at and spotted Nick and Alex sitting at a booth with a couple of girls. One who seemed extremely friendly with Alex. Clarabella didn't know why, but there was a mix of jealousy, anger and envy that ran through her in that moment.

What the fuck Clara, why are you annoyed at this? You don't even have feelings for him. Stop being such an idiotic bitch.
She mentally shouted at herself.

Matt, Jamie and Katie started walking towards the booth that Nick and Alex were sitting at once they spotted them but Clarabella couldn't move. She was stuck in time just staring at Alex, fighting with her thoughts and was confused on how she was feeling.

Once Katie realised Clarabella wasn't walking beside her anymore she turned around to try find her, and she found her standing there, staring at Alex.

"Clara, are you okay?" Katie asked softly while walking back to Clara. This snapped Clara out of her glare and she looked back at Katie and shook her head to try 'wake herself up'.

"Yeah sorry, just daydreaming." She smiled and kept walking towards the booth. Katie's suspicions didn't stop there.

She sat down across from Alex, the girl who was practically on top of him, and Matt.

"Hey Clara." Nick greeted her giving her a warm smile. Nick was talking to another girl that was sitting beside him, at least they were a suitable distance apart.
"This is Kelly." Nick introduced.
