Most of the cultivation world was gloating after the trial of the Second Jade of Lan. They had managed to get the chief cultivator Wen Rouhan to punish the Gusu Lan Sect for Lan Wangji's ruthlessness by taking some of their lands away. This meant more power for the other sects. The first Jade just looked at his little brother sadly but he was too busy planning his wedding with Jin Guangyao to comfort his brother on the mistake he made. Qingheng-Jun was trying his hardest to reach out to Lan Wangji against all odds.
It was hard for him since Lan Wangji had never liked him and had the habit of avoiding him at most turns. Wen Rouhan was disgusted at the world for the farce that had just taken place. If he could have he would have just killed all those scheming vipers and rewarded the Lan boy. Unfortunately, though he was the chief cultivator the majority still ruled. Everyone was in deep thought about the event when a bright light froze the world making certain people vanish.
Lan Wangji woke up tied to a chair with his spiritual powers locked. On high alert, he looked around finding a few others in the same position as himself. The chief cultivator was waking up in the chair beside him with Qingheng-Jun on his other side. His brother was seated on his father's other side followed by some Lan deciples.
Murmurs erupted the more people awoke with no one having a clue of what was going on. They were all facing a weird shiny black wall. He was forced out of his observations by the chief cultivator's whisper by his side. "Kid for what it is worth I think you did the right thing." Lan Wangji looked at Wen Rouhan in surprise not thinking anyone would see things his way. It felt like a slight weight was pulled from him, not by much he still wanted to die but a bit. He managed a small nod in acknowledgment.
Gasps were heard around the room as the black screen showed some White words "FOR MY ABANDONED JUSTICE!" Everyone was intrigued by the magic tool that was this black wall. They decided to watch to see what else would happen. It's not like they could do anything tied up with their powers sealed. The screen showed a tall man in black and gray robes rushing through some dark hallways with bones along the walls. The man was beautiful with shining silver eyes and a mole just below his lip. Lan Wangji couldn't pull his eyes away though the feel of the image was creepy.
Wen Rouhan- Are those ghost flames? Wait... is this the Underworld?
The woman beside him smacked his head. "Shush I want to watch. Don't ruin it." To everyone's surprise, Wen Rouhan grumbled but did not retaliate. She was beautiful with silver eyes that matched the man on the wall. It looked like she was in her mid twenties a petite woman with a strong attitude. A narration started drawing everyone back to the screen.
Yilling Laozu rushed to get his last charges to the underworld, hoping to make it to the one event the gods allowed him to participate in. Being so busy allowed his power to grow exponentially, but he still wished the other Gods wouldn't openly scorn him. Every 5oo years three gods got sent to the human world to prove their core values were still the same. One didn't just get the job and keep it forever without proving themselves worthy of it. That is the very reason that gods have different overlapping domains.
Lan Xichen- Wait is this boy a god?
Qingheng-Jun- It seems so. I wonder why the other gods scorn him.
Wen Rouhan- He is a death god it seems. No one really likes them, which is stupid since who do we answer to when we die not the other gods that's for sure.
