Lan Wangji couldn't help imagining what it would be like to sleep with Wei Wuxian at his side. He had never been eager to touch anyone so what his counterpart was doing of sleeping that close to his husband was more intimate in his mind than sex. Not that he had experience with that either. As he had never really felt attracted to anyone he thought it was something he would never be interested in. Now he couldn't help but long for his time at Wei Wuxian's side to arrive.
Morning came way too soon for Wei Wuxian's liking. He was so bundled so warm and comfortable that all he wanted to do was stay asleep. There were fingers from somewhere running through his hair. A-Hua sometimes did that whenever he got bored enough to sleep. His leg was locking the warm pillow beneath him in place. There was no sunlight at the moment....so why couldn't he go back to sleep? "Wei Ying time to get up." Right...His pillow was trying to wake him up. It probably wanted to be free of his death grip. "Nooooo, shhhh. Be a good pillow and let me sleep." Silence reigned for a second before a huff of air was heard. His pillow was vibrating beneath him.
The Lans blushed looking at the intimate position Wei Wuxian was sleeping in. Quingheng-Jun was the first to recover lightly chuckling at Wei Wuxian's antics. "Wangji it seems you have been demoted from husband to pillow." Lan Xichen thought his brother-in-law was adorable with his sleepy scolding of his pillow but he had learned not to voice those thoughts. He really did not want to be murdered by his brother before he was married. "Wangji are you laughing at him?" Lan Wangji was too consumed with wanting to change places with the future him to notice their teasing. He wanted to know what his husband would do once he realized it wasn't a pillow he was wrapped around.
Pouting he pushed his face further into his firm pillow. "Stooooop! How can I sleep if my pillow is moving like this? Bad Pillow!" Another small huff "Wei Ying it's Lan Zhan, not your pillow. Wake up we have work to do." Wei Wuxian groaned rubbing his face on Lan Wangji's chest before freezing. The words finally registered in his sluggish brain. He opened his eyes with trepidation. A violent blush covered his face as he realized he was pinning Lan Wangji on the bed. It was like he became some sort of Hanguang-Jun hugging koala overnight. He jumped to his feet and rushed to the bathroom to get ready for the day needing a few minutes to calm down. By the time he left, Lan Wangji was still in his room so Wei Wuxian rushed out the door hoping to avoid further embarrassment.
Wen Rouhan laughed "Honestly, he has such a thick face normally but with Wangji he has the constitution of wet paper." Baoshan nodded amused at her grandson's antics. Lan Wangji stunned everyone who knew him. " Hm wasn't there supposed to be intimacy before I was graced with pillow talk?" Lan Xichen was startled getting his brother out of his intrusive thoughts he spoke aloud "Wangji!" Lan Wangji blushed realizing he spoke aloud by the way everyone was looking at him in shock. The shock was broken by Wen Rouhan's uproarious laughter.
The next few days were much more relaxed than Wei Wuxian was used to. His father-in-law taught him the intricate details of their barrier. This allowed Wei Wuxian to come up with something similar yet much stronger. It was also a barrier that could be upgraded if the need arose. Not like the other one that any huge fluctuation would render it useless. He made sure to get it approved by both men before he put it up. To be extra sure it worked he had some of their strongest warriors test it. They threw talismans, arrows, sword strikes, and music blasts at the activated barrier. Safe to say nothing would be getting through the barrier by force.
