Wei Wuxian was almost to Qishan when he started to play his flute with a chilling tune. He made sure every fierce corpse under the Wen's control turned on the soldiers around them. Civilians who watched the cloud of resentment rushed to the temples for safety. They believed a demon was coming to Qishan to destroy them. They thought the only way for them to survive was to ask the gods for clemency.
Wen Rouhan- Ha those fools would Qi deviate if they knew it was no demon but a god they had managed to piss off. Let alone one as merciful as Wuxian.
Baoshan- It is humorous. Doesn't the Wen religion revolve around praying to death Gods?
Wen Rouhan- It does... I wonder if Wuxian could hear their prayers...No wait he couldn't since he was banished. I admit that is the only good thing about being banished no constant voices in your head.
Wen sect members were horrified when he raised the same soldiers he killed under his control. At his command, they headed into the city to attack other soldiers while always trying to avoid civilians. Though Wei Wuxian was confident that Xuanyu fulfilled his task of removing anyone he would regret killing. In other words, the civilians remaining were corrupt and therefore expendable. He would just rather not murder civilians with his powers.
Baoshan- He is still too nice I would have just killed everyone left as a lesson for others to change their ways.
All the Lans looked at her in fear as if at any moment she would break the bindings and kill them all.
Wen Rouhan- We can't all be homicidal goddesses who can just create more humans if she destroys them all. The rest of us have to show restraint or we like humans.
Baoshan- I guess... All you death gods spend most of your time surrounded by humans or spirits. It makes sense that you would be fond of them. I still say humans are due for a purge soon.....
Wen Rouhan- Baoshan let's focus on purging the heavens of corruption first. Worry about the humans later.
The Ghost General used his chains to keep arrows away from Wei Wuxian. Not that he needed it being immortal and all. Plus the resentment itself protected Wei Wuxian like a child protecting its mother. He had pulled soldiers that got too close to Wei Wuxian underground. He apologized every time he was forced to use his chains on the humans. Still, he had promised Wei Wuxian he would be his sword and he would not break his promise. It was a terrifying view for the Wen soldiers from the main castle in Qishan. A man with crimson eyes floating on a cloud of resentment over a tall pale man with killer chains coming their way. Spikes of resentment rise from the ground to skewer their soldiers before disappearing. Nothing they did seemed to slow them down.
Lan Jingy-That does look terrifying.
Lan Sizhui- Jingy?! What are you doing writing on your sacred forehead ribbon?!
All the Lans were outraged at the boy's disrespect of their sacred ribbon even if he was only writing towards the end of it and not the center.
Lan Jingy- Sorry I just think that the rule of Don't make Madam Lan angry is more important than all the other notes. The only place to represent how important that rule is to stay alive is to put it on my ribbon so I never forget it.
